⨠A Testimony I Didnât Know I Needed to Share â¨
Family, gather around⌠because what happened to me recently taught me one of the biggest lessons of my life.
Not long ago, I contested for the position of Secretary General. I was motivated, ready, and full of hope. But in the middle of that excitement, something unexpected happened. Someone very close to my heart, my own friend, also stepped forward for the same position.
Imagine standing at a crossroads where ambition is pulling you one way and loyalty is pulling you the other. That was me.
After a lot of reflection and prayer, I made a choice that surprised many.
I stepped back.
Not because I doubted myself. Not because I feared the outcome. But because I believe true leadership begins with knowing when to protect peace, when to honor relationships, and when to follow your heart.
There was something else too. The position required me to stop working at the library. And if you truly know me, you know how much joy and purpose I find in that space. The library is more than a workplace; it is where I feel connected, grounded, and fulfilled.
So I chose what mattered to my soul.
My friend went on to win the election, and I celebrated him with a full heart. But God was not done writing my story.
A few days later, something happened that left me humbled and speechless. I was appointed Assistant to the Chief Librarian, a role that aligns perfectly with my passion. A role that allows me to keep doing what I love. A role I didnât even expect.
That moment reminded me of a truth I want someone to hear today.
đą Moral Lesson:
Sometimes stepping back is not losing. Sometimes it is God clearing the path to take you exactly where you belong. When you choose integrity, when you guard your peace, and when you celebrate others sincerely, God positions you in rooms you never imagined entering.
I didnât miss my destiny. I walked right into it.
Godâs timing is never late. Never wrong. Always perfect. đ
