Our Grade 4 learners recently took part in exciting Home Economics & Hospitality practical lessons under the Zambia CBC Curriculum, exploring the topic "Cooking Methods."

Through hands-on activities, learners prepared and cooked a variety of foods while discovering different cooking techniques such as boiling, frying, grilling, roasting, and steaming. They also learned important skills in food preparation, hygiene, teamwork, safety, and nutrition.

At Angels Park School, we believe that education goes beyond the classroom. By combining theory with practical experience, we help learners develop confidence, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and valuable life skills that will serve them well into the future.

Understand Before You Memorise

When you truly understand a topic, you can:

✅ Explain it in your own words

✅ Answer unfamiliar questions with confidence

✅ Remember information for longer

✅ Apply your knowledge in different situations

Instead of simply repeating facts, ask yourself:
"Do I understand why this works?"

A great way to test your understanding is to explain the topic to a friend, parent, or sibling. If you can teach it, you probably understand it.

Our learners were honoured to participate in the Provincial Commemoration of National Library Week 2026, hosted in Kalulushi District from 8th–12th June 2026 under the theme:

📖 "Re-igniting Libraries: Building Partnerships for Thriving Communities."

The event brought together learners, educators, librarians, community leaders, and stakeholders in a celebration of reading, knowledge, culture, and lifelong learning.

Our pupils had the opportunity to engage with books, digital reading technologies, educational exhibitions, cultural performances, and activities designed to promote literacy and strengthen community partnerships.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Provincial Library Team, Kalulushi District Library, Kalulushi Municipal Council, and the DEBS Office for organising such an inspiring and impactful event.
