Today, we stand together with the global community to raise awareness, inspire action, and show solidarity with everyone affected by cancer.
At the Zambia Medical Physics Initiative, we believe that science, education, and compassion are powerful tools in the fight against cancer. Through medical physics, we support early detection, safe imaging, accurate radiotherapy, and continuous innovation that helps save lives.
We honor the patients, survivors, caregivers, and health professionals who face cancer with courage every day. Let us continue to promote awareness, encourage screening, and use knowledge to build a healthier, safer future for all.
Together, we can make a difference. Happy World Cancer Day from ZMPI. ποΈβ―οΈπ©»π

πField Visit Update!
As MUPHYSA, we had an amazing experience visiting UTH, RPA, and NISIR , learning a lot about the practical side of medical physics and radiation safety πβοΈ
We got to see the progress on the new bunkers being built at UTH, and the installation of advanced medical equipment that will soon enhance diagnostic and treatment services in Zambia πΏπ²πͺπ½
It was a day full of learning, exposure, and inspiration , a true reminder of why medical physics is vital to our nationβs healthcare system.

Cyclotrons help fight cancer every day.
They produce targeted radioactive drugs that let doctors deliver radiation directly to cancer cells while minimizing harm to healthy tissue.
This method, known as targeted radionuclide therapy, is a safe, precise and non-invasive cancer treatment.

As we count down to the release of results tomorrow, I just want to remind every student reading this you are more than a grade. π±
Whether the outcome is what you hoped for or not, remember this, youβve already won by showing up, trying your best, and pushing through the challenges of the semester. That effort alone is worth celebrating. ππΎπ
To those who pass congratulations and continue to aim higher.
To those who may not this isnβt the end, itβs just a step in your learning curve. Great things take time, and so do great people.βπ½
We grow from setbacks, and we rise with support.
As ZMPI and MUPHYSA, we stand with you and we believe in your journey regardless of where you are now.
Whatever happens, donβt give up. Your story is still being written.
Keep going. Youβve got this. πͺπ½π₯
