Teaching children the correct names for their body parts and what private means is a crucial step in keeping them safe. Empower them with knowledge early.

It’s never too early to teach kids about body safety. Help them to understand which body parts are private and that it’s okay to say no.

Is your child struggling to hold a pencil ✏️ or pen 🖊️ the correct way?

These simple tips and activities can improve the way kids hold their pencils! ✏️

✍️ Draw, write, or color in prone position

✍️ Use shortened writing utensils like library or gold pencils

✍️ Break crayons into smaller pieces and use for coloring

✍️ Draw, write, or paint on a vertical surface

✍️ Work on core strength! Remember, proximal stability is the foundation for distal mobility.

✍️ Use colored tape to mark where kids should grasp their pencil

✍️ Try tucking a small object like a bead into the child’s 4th and 5th fingers while they grasp a pencil. This will promote the use of the “tripod fingers”.

What’s more fun than waking up to go to school and play??? Going to school in pyjamas of course!!!!😄

Last Wednesday , was time to get cozy! Our pupils enjoyed our first ever Pyjama Day! in comfy PJ’s and bed shoes/slippers/house shoes. And yes!! We definitely had hair bonnets 😊😁😁 Blankets? Of course! 😀
