ROCKVIEW UNIVERSITY AT THE 2026 KULAMBA CEREMONY

Rockview University proudly joined thousands of people at the 2026 Kulamba Traditional Ceremony in Katete, Eastern Province, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and unity of the Chewa people of Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique.

The Kulamba Ceremony is a significant cultural gathering where Chewa chiefs and their subjects from the three countries come together to pay homage to Paramount Chief Kalonga Gawa Undi and celebrate their shared history, identity, traditions, and values.

This year’s ceremony, held on 29 August 2026, carries the theme “Unity Beyond Borders,” highlighting the important role of culture in bringing people together beyond geographical and national boundaries.

As an institution committed to proficiency and excellence, Rockview University recognizes the importance of supporting and participating in cultural events that promote unity, education, heritage preservation, community engagement, and national development.

Our participation reflects our commitment to being more than a centre of academic excellence—we are an institution that values the communities we serve and the cultural heritage that shapes our society.

ROCKVIEW UNIVERSITY — PROficiency AND EXCELLENCE.
