Your Food is Either Fighting for You or Against You

Every bite you take is a message to your body.

Eat fiber-rich foods your gut thrives.

Eat anti-inflammatory foods your joints, heart, and brain thank you.

Eat excess processed sugar and oils your risk of diabetes, cancer, and heart disease skyrockets.

Food is not just calories.

It’s medicine or poison choose wisely.

What did your last meal say to your body?

BEFORE YOU HAND YOUR CHILD THAT “QUICK FIX” MEAL THINK AGAIN

Picture your child’s body like a new house you’re building

Every meal is either a solid brick that strengthens the walls…

Or a hollow block that looks okay now but will collapse later.

Noodles? They are hollow blocks.

They fill the stomach but leave nothing behind.

No protein to build muscles
No fibre to protect the gut
No vitamins to sharpen the brain
Just preservatives and empty starch

And when children live on that, you will notice:
Constant tiredness
Endless sugar cravings
Poor focus in school
Weak immunity

Yes they have more cravings for it ..yes they want you at their beck and call and they cannot be out of market

Choose wisely

It's your life, money and wellbeing of your child and their future.

But what if you swap those hollow blocks for real bricks?

Boiled plantain with groundnut sauce, eggs rich in potassium and healthy fats

Beans and moi moi protein power for growth

Rice with vegetables and fish balanced fuel for brain and body

These are meals that repair, build, and protect.

They do not just fill the stomach they fortify the future.

Parents, every spoon you serve is either:

Building your child’s foundation strong
…or creating cracks you will regret later.

Don’t wait until it becomes:

“Doctor, my child is always sick.”

“Doctor, my child is very hyperactive .”

He cannot concentrate etc

Your child life's is in your hands. Choose bricks, not hollow blocks.

Do not keep this post to your self

STOP BUYING CALCIUM SUPPLEMENTS FOR YOUR PARENTS. THEY DON'T NEED THAT.

What they actually need is Vitamin K2 + D3.

Because calcium without K2 is a loaded gun.
It can end up in their arteries, not their bones —
causing stiffness, high blood pressure, even stroke.

K2 is the director.
It tells calcium: “Bones and teeth only.”
Not joints. Not blood vessels.

You’ll find it in egg yolks, liver, real butter.

Now pair that with Vitamin D3 from supplements or real sunlight and you’ve created a healing combo.

So instead of stuffing them with more pills,
feed them right. Let them walk in the sun. Give them D3.

Leave calcium alone.
Fix the direction.
Fix the absorption.
Fix the food.

Don’t forget to reach out for a diet plan.

OKRA LEAVES THE HIDDEN SUPERFOOD YOu are NOT EATING ENOUGH OF

Most people only think of okra for its pods, but did you know the leaves of the okra plant are just as powerful maybe even more?

Science shows that okra leaves are loaded with nutrients:

Rich in dietary fiber supports digestion and gut bacteria balance.

Packed with antioxidants (polyphenols, flavonoids, Vitamin C, beta-carotene) reduce inflammation and protect your cells.

A natural source of calcium, magnesium, potassium, and vitamin K vital for strong bones, heart health, and blood clotting.

Contains folate crucial for healthy pregnancy and red blood cell formation.

What research says:

1. Blood Sugar Regulation – Animal and human studies show that compounds in okra leaves and pods help improve insulin sensitivity and lower blood glucose.

2. Gut & Stomach Protection – The mucilage (slimy part) coats the stomach lining, helping with ulcers and acid irritation.

3. Cholesterol & Heart Health – The fiber and antioxidants reduce bad cholesterol and support blood pressure control.

4. Anti-inflammatory Effects – Useful in arthritis and chronic inflammation.

How to Use Okra Leaves:

In Nigeria, Yoruba cuisine uses it as Ewedu soup – its slimy nature is soothing for the gut.

Can be boiled, steamed, or blended into stews and sauce.

Dried leaves can be ground into powder and added to soups as a natural thickener.

Think of okra leaves as the “green shield” protecting your gut, heart, and bones, while the pods are the “healing sword” fighting blood sugar and cholesterol.

Together, they make a complete defense system for your health.

If you have been throwing away your okra leaves, you’ve been throwing away medicine.

Share this post someone on your timeline needs to know that the okra leaf in their backyard is more powerful than they think!

Low Blood Pressure – Silent but Dangerous!

We often talk about high blood pressure as the “silent killer,” but what about low blood pressure?

Many people ignore it until it causes fainting, weakness, or worse.

Imagine your body like a house.

Your blood pressure is the water pressure that delivers water through the pipes.

If it’s too high, the pipes may burst (that’s hypertension).

But if it’s too low, water does not reach the upstairs taps you turn the faucet, and nothing comes out.

That’s what happens in your body: your brain, heart, and vital organs do not get enough oxygen.

When is it considered low?

If your numbers are 90/60 mmHg or lower with symptoms like:

Dizziness or fainting

Blurred vision

Fatigue and weakness

Nausea

Cold, pale skin

Confusion

…it’s a red flag

What could be wrong? (Evidence-based causes)

Dehydration – Loss of fluids from sweating, vomiting, or diarrhea reduces blood volume.

Nutrient Deficiencies – Low iron, vitamin B12, or folate → anemia → less oxygen delivery.

Heart Issues – Slow heart rate, weak pumping, or valve problems.

Hormone Imbalances – Low thyroid (hypothyroidism) or weak adrenal glands (Addison’s disease).

Blood Loss – From ulcers, heavy menstruation, or injury.

Medications – Diuretics, beta-blockers, antidepressants can drop BP too far.

Severe Infections – Sepsis can cause dangerously low blood pressure (shock).

What to check:

Blood tests (FBC for anemia, electrolytes, thyroid, cortisol)

Heart tests (ECG, Echocardiogram)

What helps:

Stay hydrated with water + electrolytes

Do not restrict salt

Avoid alcohol

Rise slowly from sitting/lying positions

Eat balanced meals with enough protein, iron, and B vitamins

- Don’t ignore low blood pressure.

It’s not always “a sign of good health.”

Sometimes, it’s your body’s cry for help.

Share this post to help someone who may be silently struggling with dizziness, fainting, or constant weakness.

You might just save a life.
