Eden Farm

We have managed to prepare a small field and are ready to plant more maize before the rains end. With the support we receive, we continue working toward growing more of our own food, so every child has a stable and secure plate each day. Though we are far from meeting our daily demand of over 600 meals a day through farming, we believe that one step at a time, we will get there. Every seed we plant carries hope, strengthens food security, and reminds us that caring for vulnerable children is a shared responsibility. We remain grateful for every hand, every prayer, and every heart that stands with us. Together, we are growing a future.

A heartfelt thank you to Ruth for blessing our children with beautiful netball jerseys. The joy and confidence these jerseys have brought to our young players is truly special.

And a big appreciation to Rosie, who has stepped in with so much love and patience to help our children learn, practice, and enjoy netball. Your encouragement is helping them grow in teamwork, discipline, and happiness.

We are delighted to share some wonderful news that fills our hearts with joy. At Eden School, our mission is to provide a loving, nurturing home and a quality education for children from poor communities, helping them to shine. This week, we are truly blessed to welcome a special visiting team from the UK, led by Nathaneal from Life Support UK. Their visit brings a wave of encouragement, friendship, and support, reminding our wonderful children that they are cherished and thought of by a global family. We look forward to a special assembly filled with inspiring songs, uplifting messages, and the joy of coming together as one community.

With the school term now well underway, the children wanted to gather outside their houses to say thank you.
Seeing them all together is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. We are committed to impacting the lives of those who need it most, and we couldn’t do it without your incredible support. We are proud that these children are part of the large, extended family we have built, and we are committed to nurturing every chapter of their young lives, ensuring every child feels supported and loved.

Thirteen years ago, GJ was taken into the care of Eden Farm Children’s Village, the place that became his home and family. Without knowing what tomorrow would bring, Eden Farm became a light of hope and today, we celebrate a milestone as GJ was dropped off at university to begin his degree program. His journey has been one of hope, growth, and transformation. From completing his primary and secondary education while at Eden Farm to now stepping into higher education, his story is a living testimony of what love, care, and opportunity can achieve. We are so proud of him and look forward with joy to the day we will celebrate his graduation. This is why we do what we do because every child deserves a future filled with promise.

We are still beaming with pride after our wonderful children's celebration of Zambia's Independence Day at Eden Farm today.

While the official holiday is Friday, 24th October, our students couldn't wait to share their passion and knowledge of our great nation. The event was a huge success, showcasing the depth of their learning about our national identity.

The National Flag: Our classes explained the powerful symbolism of the flag's colors: Green for our agriculture and lush resources 🌿, Red for the struggle for freedom ❤️, Black for the Zambian people ⚫, and Orange for our mineral wealth 🟠. The African Fish Eagle 🦅, soaring above, symbolises our nation's hopeful rise.

The Coat of Arms: Students presented on the significance of the shield's design, from the Victoria Falls to the tools of labour (hoe and pickaxe), all united under the inspiring motto: "One Zambia, One Nation.

The National Anthem: Their heartfelt performance of "Stand and Sing of Zambia, Proud and Free" was truly moving, reminding us all of the sacrifices made for our freedom.

Thank you to all the parents and guests who came out to support our future leaders as they honoured the history and heritage of our nation's independence, achieved on October 24, 1964.

Happy Independence Week, Zambia! Let the spirit of unity continue.

Today, our hearts are full as we welcome new children into our big Eden Farm family bringing the number to 50 precious lives now receiving care, full education support, health services, shelter, and a house to call their own. Each child comes with a unique story but today marks the beginning of a brighter, hope filled future.

We are deeply grateful to the incredible team from Life Support, who are currently walking through the South Downs in the UK to raise funds for this life changing work. Your steps are paving the way for transformation here at Eden Farm. Because of your sacrifice and love, these children now have a safe place to grow and a mother to care for them.
