Vocal Ensemble will visit Sunnyside Old Aged Home on Tuesday, 10 March.
Gig Band performs at the Rugby Festival on Saturday, 14 March.
First Quarterly Concert, 18 March: various bands and soloists.
Golf Day, 20 March: Pipe Band, Jazz Band, and Gig Band.
Sunset Concert, 22 March: all our bands.

Shakespeare auditions begin this week, and auditions for Footloose will be announced shortly.

in Thursday, 26 February 26, Chess on Tour Building Memories and Future Success: Over the weekend of 20 – 22 February, our chess teams made their annual pilgrimage to Bloemfontein to compete in the prestigious Grey College Invitational Chess Tournament, where they competed against some of the best chess schools in the country. This tour remains a definitive highlight of the school year, providing our players the opportunity to test their mettle against some of the strongest players around.

While silverware eluded us this year, our boys exceeded expectations with very respectable placings amidst incredibly stiff competition:

1st Team: 5th place in the Prestige Section (out of 12 teams).
2nd Team: 7th place in the A Section (out of 26 teams).
3rd Team: 20th place in the B Section (out of 42 teams).

In Friday, 13 February 26, Vice-Principal of Culture, Natalie Karg writes:

Our Cultural Pillar has had a powerful start to the year with performances by our bands and ensembles at the series of Open Days. The commitment to our Wynberg Music award-winning choir has led to significant growth in numbers, and the Vocal Ensemble has accepted an invitation to perform at the Castle of Good Hope next weekend. The informal Gig Band is preparing to perform at the Wynberg Rugby Festival on the evening of Saturday, 14 March

We are reintroducing break-time concerts on Fridays for any boy who would like to perform in the Jowell Quad at the Fish Bowl. These are open to non-music students as well, providing an opportunity for all our Wynberg men to display their talents.

The Wynberg Boys' Acting Association had another bumper session on Thursday, ahead of the auditions for the Shakespeare production of Antony and Cleopatra to be held on Thursday, 19 February.

The announcement of our Major Production for 2026 will be made in the next week or so. Watch this space!

In Friday, 6 February 26, the Wynberg Boys' Acting Association 🎭

Another fantastic turnout by our budding thespians - 71 students attended the latest workshop!

Auditions for the Bard's Antony and Cleopatra will be held on Saturday, 21 February from 10h00 to 14h00 in the Alf Morris Centre. will perform this famous tragedy at the Shakespeare Schools Festival later in the year.
