Today marks the 50th year anniversary of the 1976 Soweto Youth Uprising. Alot of them were shot by the apartheid police.

One of the main concern that the youth fought for was being taught all subjects in Afrikaans.

Today some of our parents never received formal education due to Bantu education that was meant to oppress the blacks.

In the midst of everything, today all that we can do is to empower ourselves with free education by all means especially in the community where we come from

May we use this day to pause and do self reflection. Ensure that blood that was shared nourishes our success and progress in life as youth and leaders of tomorrow.
May we build ourselves to be the better leaders, entrepreneurs, scientists, economists, mathematicians, presidents and lawyers of tomorrow.

Never loose hope in education, take full responsibility as we dnt know what the future holds for us.

We wish you a happy Youth day!

As we are currently buzy with June exam for 2026,we just want encourage and request all the parents to give our lovely learners full support.

This learners encounter many socio economic challenges that needs parents to be there through it all. This can affect their mental health and try to attempt su***de

During this exam session let's rally behind our learners, our future depends on them.

Together we can change our community to be a safer environment with educated youth.

This are one of the learners that went for Science Olympiad competition for Winterveldt and Mabopane clusters. on the 24th April 2026 at Dr AT Moreosele Secondary.
They are getting ready for the next round in the district competition.

THE USE OF IS ON THE RISE AMONGST OUR RECENTLY IN

We catch 1 learner on a daily basis at our school for smoking v**e.

This is one of the e-cigarettes that were introduced around 2007. The product consist of ni****ne, which is dangerous for the lungs. It affects your high blood pressure, heart related diseases and the brain issues

Let's fight this trend amongst our children/siblings

We need to work together to fight against smoking.

Other learners began to opt for this after getting an addiction from smoking Hubbly. They also smoke it with drugs such as cannibus🌿

PARENTS PLEASE BE ON ALERT, WE REALLY NEED TO DO SOMETHING AS A COMMUNITY.
