We are raising funds to create a dedicated Silent Group Sandplay room at Flamboyant School.
Sandplay gives children a safe, calm way to express feelings, process experiences and develop emotional regulation - particularly for children who may struggle to put their feelings into words. By helping children regulate and feel understood, we can help them become more ready to connect, engage and learn.
This room will bring the work of Ukuthula Sandplay to Flamboyant, supporting our learners through a safe space where they can pause, process, regulate and grow.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.

Please share our campaign with family, friends and anyone who may want to help us create this special space for our learners.

Meet the Faces of History!
Our Junior Primary learners stepped back in time for a very special History project!
From Neil Armstrong and Chester Williams to Ruby Bridges, Percy FitzPatrick and Rosa Parks, our school was filled with some truly remarkable characters!
Each learner had the chance to dress up as a historical figure and share a little about the person they had chosen.
We loved seeing their creativity, confidence and enthusiasm as they brought the past to life!

History came alive at Flamboyant! ✨⏳
Yesterday our learners didn’t just learn about history — they became part of it! 🎭📚
As part of their History project, learners dressed up as famous historical figures and shared their stories with us. From Amelia Earhart taking to the skies ✈️ to Einstein puzzling us with his genius 🧠, Shaka Zulu making his presence known ⚔️ and Christiaan Barnard making medical history 🫀 — we had quite the collection of characters walking around school!

Our Grade 2s got hands-on with their maths, using coffee stirrers to build, count and group their tally marks. Learning by doing = learning that sticks!

School time reminders:
School starts at 7:50am
Learners need to be at school by 7:45am for line-up. Arriving after 7:50am means learners are already late for class, so please allow enough time for a calm start to the day.
🚗 Monday–Thursday: School ends at 1:20pm
🚗 Friday: School closes at 12:30pm
Please make every effort to collect learners promptly at the designated collection times. Our wonderful staff go above and beyond to ensure that every learner is safely collected, and we kindly ask that they are not kept waiting beyond their working hours. A special thank you to our amazing Peter for always looking after our learners!
⏰ Aftercare – NEW TIME FROM 1 SEPTEMBER 2026
Aftercare will close at 4:30pm (16:30), Monday–Thursday, instead of 5:00pm. Reminder that there is no aftercare on a Friday.
Thank you for helping us keep our school day safe, organised and running smoothly!

Following feedback from our OISESA process, we recognised that parents and guardians would value more opportunities to connect with our teachers and management in a relaxed, informal setting.
We’ve loved welcoming our Junior Primary and Grade 4–6 parents for Coffee & Connect, and now it’s Grade 7–9's turn! ☕
Come in, have a coffee and take the opportunity to chat with our teachers and Head - whether there’s something specific you’d like to discuss or you simply want to connect.
No formal meeting, no agenda — just an opportunity to connect and chat.

Today we celebrate the incredible women who inspire, nurture, lead, teach and make a difference every single day.
To the women of Flamboyant — our staff, mothers, grandmothers, daughters and learners - thank you for the strength, kindness and courage you bring to our school community.
Here’s to celebrating the women who have shaped our past, inspire our present and are creating a brighter future.
