The jumping castle was a huge hit, with plenty of other fun activities to enjoy throughout the week, including waffle making, cupcake decorating and an exciting visit from the Fire Brigade! 🚒🧁🧇

A little friendly competition never hurt anyone… although we’re sure the learners will be asking for a rematch!

🇿🇦 Celebrating Our Rainbow Nation! 🌈

We ended the term on a colourful high as we celebrated Heritage Day at Flamboyant!

Our Grade 9 learners completed their LO Heritage Day assignment, while the rest of the day was filled with celebrating the cultures and traditions that make our rainbow nation so special.

From proudly wearing our heritage to enjoying games, laughter and time together, it was a wonderful way to wrap up the term!

Our Grade 7–9 learners had the opportunity to hear from a wonderful group of professionals about their careers and experiences. They listened, asked questions and gained a better understanding of what different career paths can look like beyond school.

We had speakers from a range of fields, including law, emergency medical services, jewellery design, psychology and veterinary care — giving our learners a glimpse into some very different and exciting career possibilities.

A massive thank you to all the amazing professionals who took the time to visit Flamboyant, share their knowledge and answer our learners’ questions. Your time, insight and willingness to inspire the next generation are truly appreciated!

During our visit from the Little Lab Coats, the children explored air pressure and polymers through three fun, hands-on experiments. They discovered how air pressure can keep water in an upside-down bottle and how the polymers in a plastic bag stretch and seal around skewers to prevent leaks. It was a fun way to learn that magic is just applied science!

Our learners were thrilled to get up close with the Fidelity SecureFire firefighters and their fire truck today! From learning about fire safety to seeing the equipment in action — and even having a turn with the hose — there were plenty of excited faces and unforgettable moments.
A huge thank you to the incredible firefighters who gave our learners such a fun, practical experience and took the time to teach them about the important work they do. We are so grateful for everything you do to help keep our community safe!

A Visit from Fidelity SecureFire! 🔥🚒
Today, our learners had an exciting and educational visit from Fidelity SecureFire, learning about the importance of safety and what it takes to put out a fire.

They loved getting an up-close look at real firefighters and their fire truck — and the highlight was definitely getting the chance to use the water hose themselves alongside the firefighters!

A massive thank you to the Fidelity SecureFire team for coming to teach us, for giving our learners such a fun and hands-on experience, and for the incredible work you do to keep us safe!
