Our Vision
We aim to improve the life of the children who attend our school by equipping them with the necessary skills to be able to take their rightful places in our society with confidence and dignity. Junior Class
Sunfield Home School – Langholme is a small homely school for the intellectually impaired. It is conveniently situated just 15 minutes from Gateway, Umhlanga just off the R102 route

to the King Shaka International Airport. The vision of the school is to improve the life of the children who attend it by equipping them with the necessary skills to be able to take their rightful places in our society with confidence and dignity. We aim to provide a “home-from-home” caring environment where intellectually impaired youngsters from the ages of 6 to 23 can learn and develop to their full potential. The School was establish in 1972 on a farm previously owned by the Armstrong family. It has provided a meaningful learning and homely environment for hundreds of intellectually impaired children as well as offering a support structure for their families. Our motto “Growing with Love” is central to our holistic approach in recognizing that every child’s abilities outweigh their disabilities.

Sunfield Home School officially opened 2 New Prefab Classrooms and ablution facilities today 05.08.2026, thanks to the generous sponsorship by the South African Muslim Charitable Trust-SAMCT. We are truly blessed to have received this much needed classrooms. Thank you to the SAMCT and all our stakeholders for attending todays event. 🙏🤗

Sunfun Sports and QLTC ( Quality Learning & Teaching Campaign) held today on our school grounds was a great success. Our learners performed well on the track. Well done to Blue House for wining this Sports Trophy and also to Red House for trying. All our learners were winners for participating and giving off their best. A special thank you to all our sponsors, parents and well wishes for attending and supporting our event. It was a great way to end the 2nd term. Well done TEAM SUNFIELD. 👏🤗

Sunfield learners had the time of their lives today Sugar Rush Park ,this was our whole school excursion. Our heartfelt gratitude to all our sponsors for making this day possible for our learners. Our learners went on a Tree Trail Obstacle course , Jump Park, Train rides, Go cart- drifting, Sand Art and Slime making, Putt Putt,Scratch Patch and Splatball. They truly got out of their comfort zones today. Well done to all our learners and staff..🙌👏👍🏼🤗

Easter Egg hunt at Sunfield Home School was held on the 10.04.2026. Our learners enjoyed the Easter activities and made their own easter egg baskets which was filled with easter eggs by the easter bunny. Many thanks to all our sponsors for making this day enjoyable for our learners. 🤗👏👍🏼🙏
