🇿🇦 A SERIOUS MESSAGE FOR SOUTH AFRICA’S YOUTH. 😥

Hundreds of thousands of immigrants have reportedly left South Africa recently.

Many people believed that this would automatically mean more jobs for South Africans.
But the reality is more complicated.

Some businesses that employed immigrants have reportedly faced significant fines, and some business owners have chosen to close their doors rather than continue operating under difficult circumstances.

Among the reasons reportedly given by some employers are concerns about work ethic, expectations around pay, theft, reliability and the protection of business ideas and intellectual property.

⚠️ Whether every allegation is true or not, these concerns should not simply be ignored.

If we want more jobs and opportunities for South African youth, we also need to ask ourselves:
👉 Are we willing to work hard and learn?
👉 Are we dependable and trustworthy?
👉 Are we prepared to start at the bottom and gain experience?
👉 Are we willing to develop skills instead of only looking for a salary?
👉 Are we protecting the reputation of South African workers?

There are serious challenges facing our country, and unemployment cannot be solved by blaming one group of people.

South Africa needs people who are willing to learn, work, build businesses, create opportunities and take responsibility for their future.

The picture is of me when I was still young and beautiful. 😊❤️
We lived in caravans, shacks and rondawels, travelling from town to town in different parts of South Africa. My Dad worked for a drilling company, so we had to move every few weeks or months.

At one stage, we were living in Bethal, Mpumalanga, and going to school there. We travelled by bus through some of the coldest winter weather in the eastern part of South Africa.
It was a hard life! 🥶

But it taught me something important:
The question isn’t, “Can I do this?”
The question is, “Am I willing to learn?”

Life changes.
Circumstances change.
But when we are willing to learn, adapt and keep going, we can discover opportunities we never thought possible. 🌱✨

After a few freezing days, thankfully the sun is back and shining warmly again! ☀️

Please stay warm, my friends. ☕️💝 There is still a cold breeze outside!

At least we can still connect and talk on the phone. 📱❤️
