KHANYISA HIGH SCHOOL ENTREPRUNEURSHIP DAY 2026

Our beloved Grade 8 and Grade 9 learners recently turned creativity into business during entrepreneurship day at Khanyisa High School. Students set up their own stalls and showcased their entrepreneurial skills by selling a variety of items.

The track was buzzing with energy as our athletes delivered outstanding performances across all age groups in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and field events. From explosive sprints to powerful throws, the day was filled with speed, determination and incredible sportsmanship.

KHANYISA HIGH SCHOOL CELEBRATES VALENTINE’S DAY IN STYLE

Khanyisa High School celebrated Valentine’s Day in true style. The atmosphere was filled with love, energy and incredible talent as DW Saints and PK da Operator kept the crowd on their feet with amazing music on the decks.

The celebration featured electrifying performances from our talented students across various grades. The students who have music as a subject also delivered an electrifying performance through grand pianos, guitars, violins and drum kits.

FAREWELL AND CONGRATULATIONS TO BISHOP SITHEMBELE SIPUKA ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS METROPOLITAN ARCHBISHOP OF CAPE TOWN

On the 12th of February 2026, Khanyisa High School bid a heartfelt farewell to Bishop Sithembele Sipuka, who has been appointed as the new Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Town.

Since 2008, Bishop Sipuka has faithfully served as Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mthatha, leading with wisdom, humility, and unwavering dedication. Throughout these years, he has also been deeply involved in the life and growth of Khanyisa High School, serving as Head of our Board of Trustees.

Under his stewardship, we have continued to uphold strong values, academic excellence, and a clear vision for the future.

On behalf of learners, staff, parents, and the entire Khanyisa High School community, we thank Bishop Sipuka for his dedicated service and wish him every blessing and success in his new role.

KHANYISA HIGH SCHOOL MATRIC TIE CEREMONY

We celebrated a milestone at Khanyisa High School as our Grade 12 students and their proud parents gathered for a memorable Tie Ceremony. This special occasion marked the official transition into matric, with each student proudly tying their matric tie, symbolising their readiness for the final year of their school journey. The joy, pride and excitement in the air were palpable, as our students embark on this important chapter of their academic careers.

Khanyisa High School hosted the OR Tambo Inland District Swimming Trials at Khanyisa High School’s Olympic sized swimming pool.

Khanyisa High School proudly celebrates the exceptional achievement of Zigwazele Velisa who delivered an outstanding performance in the 2025 Matric results, earning Level 7s across all his subjects (7 Distinctions).

KHANYISA HIGH SCHOOL REPRESENTED AT THE CLASS OF 2025 EASTERN CAPE PROVINCIAL MATRIC AWARDS CEREMONY

Khanyisa High School proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of our 2025 Dux Scholar and Headboy, Amange Ovayo Ndonyela.

Amange achieved an exceptional academic milestone by obtaining 7 distinctions across all his subjects and was subsequently invited to the Eastern Cape Provincial Matric Awards Ceremony.

Amange has distinguished himself as a true all-rounder:
1. Selected to represent the Eastern Cape Province at National Debating Championships
2. Awarded Gold at the Eskom Expo for Young Scientists
3. Advanced to the third and final round of the South African Mathematics Olympiad (SAMO)
4. Ranked the best Black learner in South Africa in the South African Mathematics Olympiad
5. Achieved 1st place in the Mathematics Team Competition organised by the Actuarial Society of South Africa.

Congratulations, Amange. You are an inspiration to Khanyisa High School and beyond.

CLASS OF 2025: PLEDGE AND PRAYER FOR THE MATRIC EXAMS

Khanyisa High School is fully prepared as the Class of 2025 embarks on their Matric Examinations.

We were blessed to have Fr. Letlotlo Taele celebrate Holy Mass with the learners, offering spiritual guidance and encouragement as they begin this important journey.

Following the Mass, our Matric students signed the official pledge committing to honesty, integrity, and dedication throughout the examination period.

We keep them in our prayers and wish them every success. May their hard work bear fruit and their futures be bright.
