Our journey home so far....

We are in Harare! Have to get going, our bus leaves for JHB soon! We will catch the train to Cape Town from there! Stoked. Many cool photos to come.

We back from remote parts of Zimbabwe, which have stunned us with absolute beauty aswell as some hefty dirt roads. The eastern highlands of Zimbabwe, namely a stretch between Chimanami and Cashel is defiantly a highlight of the trip. Tonight we in Mutare after a short afternoon visit into Mozambique and an overnight stay in Vumba Valley. Tomorrow we make our way to Harare, and then starts the four day journey to Cape Town. What an epic, fun, tough at times but rewarding journey this has been so far.

Today marks our third day in Zim, we ambled through the border without trouble, merely taking us four hours. The hospitality of the people we have met has once again blown us away, a massive thank you is due to: Grant, Simon, Emily and Bob.

Today we came down from the escarpment which had us in awe of the amazing beauty of the Blyde River Canyone. With good conditions we managed 154km to reach Tzaneen. Tonight we staying at a beautiful lodge which was exactly what we needed after a big day. Thanks Arbor park lodge

Day 10 of being on the road and right now we are enjoying our second rest day since Richards Bay. So far we've covered over 700km, crossed Swaziland and back into South Africa! Now northwards onto Zim but first to traverse the Blyde River Canyone

Another day on the bike before sunrise for steady pedalling but mostly pushing up the these Swazi hills! Tonight we staying in Bulembu with the most amazing family which we met whilst tending to some bicycle maintaince. With open arms they offered to help us and invited for a braai and a warm shower! Home In 2001, the mining company that had built and operated Bulembu for more than 60 years, closed its doors and walked away. With no jobs the town was soon abandoned, even as Swaziland continues to be ravaged by the HIV/AIDS pandemic and the resulting orphan crisis.

Swaziland has been so good to us, people, the roads, the food, all epic! We have met person after person that has just blessed us in some form or another, thank you to all those we met along the way!
Yesterday we did our biggest distance so far this trip of 134km basically uphill the whole way! It was difficult to say the least but we made it when we arrived at Legends the day became worth it, epic place and if you find yourself in Swaziland, you have to pull in!
