Today was a day for the history books.
We brought down the house at the Billy Nair Dance Competition and brought home the gold!!!

Foundation Phase team...1st Position

Well done to choreographers Ms Nkosi, Mrs Sooklall, Ms Williams, Ms Mtshali👏 and our dance teams.

Our kids have natural flair and grace on the dance floor.
This is a great prelude to our dance concert on 4 September.

Victoria Primary School is proud to be recognised for its commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible waste management. Our school was awarded Second Place in the eThekwini Waste Management Directorate Schools Recycling Competition.
At Victoria Primary, we believe that caring for the environment is everyone's responsibility.
This award is a testament to the collective effort of our school community. Every recycled item contributed towards making a positive impact and demonstrated that small actions can lead to significant change.

Well done Steven Chamane and the U13 team for winning against the Verulam finalists today. Billy Nair Circuit Champs 🥳
Now our boys are on their way to the CMC Cup on Wednesday. We are behind you all the way!!

What a memorable day today for our learners that participated in our Sip and Paint fundraiser today on World Art Day. ( coincides with Leonardo Da Vinci's birthday)
World Art Day celebrates creative expression and the contribution of artists to society.
This was another first for Victoria Primary.
There were smiles all round and proud beaming faces after creating beautifully painted canvases.
Such talent. So much of fun.
We are in awe of our little Da Vincis. Well done!!

Team Mzanzi Magic at the Billy Nair Cookoff today.
We had a fusion menu.
An Indian starter of Pani Puri with mint chutney, tamarind sauce and braised potato.
A zulu main of Isitshulu (lamb stew) with fresh veggies.
And because a Boer maak 'n plan, we included an Afrikaner dessert of mini melkterts and koeksusters dipped in syrup and dusted in coconut.
Each of the three groups in our team dressed up according to the themes of each course that were made from scratch.
From prep to plating was two hours.
We didn't win the competition but we cooked with heart and closed the term around the lunch table as a family.
