The same body in the space of a week!
Photo 1: Today, taken during "morning skinny"
Photo 2: 2 days ago, after silk training
Photo 3: Last week, middle of the day, during PMS.
It's extremely hard during different times of the month for me, because the water retention sometimes make you doubt your progress. In the end it causes your motivation to decrease all together.
It's important to STILL SHOW UP and BE CONSISTENT. π
Second of all, not all days will be good. But all progress is good. Even if progress is standing out of bed in the morning.
Lastly, HAVE GRACE. Our bodies go through SO MUCH every month.
Celebrate your body for what it can do for you. For me having a body that allows me to move, do weight training and best of all perform silks, is just absolutely incredible and a gift from God.

Last night while driving back from stellenbosch, I starter crying. I am still not sure whether or not i was happy crying, but I am just in utter awe of how I've been dealing everything that happened the past 2 weeks. It's been difficult, but I've also had moments of pure joy. π₯°
A quick recap of what I smiled through the past 2 weeks :
- an incident with an bouncer, causing a panic attack π€¦π»ββοΈ
- gave someone a chance & them disappointing me π
- tried out a different & new silk studio
- BIGGEST scary thing : I passed out & woke up confused with blood everywhere. Ended up with an concussion. π₯΄
I am still very uncertain about my health at the moment, but I am just so incredibly thankful to be alive. So thankful to be back in the gym with my fav gym partner , back hanging on the silks.
BIGGEST BREAKTRHOUGH - I've finally feel like I've got an amazing balance between dancing & studying and socialising.
I've been working so damn hard for my dreams the past 2 weeks in spite of everything, and thinking about that makes me so incredibly proud.
I know this year will be full of breakthroughs, opportunities and a lot of proud moments.
This is all possible by the grace of God. I wouldn't have been smiling through it all if it wasn't for Him. πππΌ

happy monday!
killed me in the gym with leg day this morning! π₯΅
So much has happened the past week, breakthroughs!! I am now a gym girl , doing weights & resistance training like a pro. I love every second of the gym now, where I used to feel so intimidated and embarassed to even go and tryπ₯°π

Don't let your way of 'healthy' living stop you from enjoying all the amazing food & drinks (like aperol π€ͺπΉ) out there. You shouldn't be eating according to restrictions.

After golden week , I decided to have a mini detox and have a meatless sunday. So I had this amazing chickpea salad for lunch yesterday.
Big tip - buy the Woolies Fried Sprinkle Onion for your salads ππ (thank me later)

I made the yummiest healthier foods ever yesterday!
Those that know me, know I am super lazy when it comes to cooking. I am also extremely bad at it. π€ͺπ But this is the year to expand my abilities and grow in all aspects of my life. So I'm trying to cook! π I am surprisingly enjoying all the new things I'm trying!

I am starting to like the gym! π₯΅
I've never been a fan of the gym for two reasons:
1. I always seem to embarrass myself in the gym, because I can't figure out how the equipment works. π₯²π
The combination of the amount of people and me struggling with the equipment is hell intimidating ! π©π€£
2. I always, (especially in Stellenbosch) , feel like most people go to the gym to socialise or "look good" instead of actually going for a workout. π
My dad helped me with the machines & my shape this morning and I have to admit I LOVED it π.
It's also the second morning of training at 5h30am and it's honestly a game changer. π₯
I'll keep you all in the loop of my gym journey π₯°π€ͺ

ready to smash goals & all my wildest dreams in 2022.
I've learned so much these past few months about what I'm capable of, what I deserve and how strong I am.
So let's talk about self worth.
People treat you exactly how you treat yourself. If you are going to show up as the most confident queen, that knows exactly whats she deserves, then that's exactly how you will be treated, and vice versa.
So focus on yourself, show up as your best self, and be addicted to growth in every aspect of your life.
