If there is one thing that makes life as a teacher a little easier, it’s a quick 10min meditation session in the morning and after recess with your students. It engages them and shifts their energy.
Meditation can help you and your students develop skills like concentration, emotional regulation, kindness, compassion and self-soothing. All while elevating the mood of the classroom.

Try these free apps to lead the meditation (as students tend to rather listen to someone other than you 😛).

Here is a great way to support each other at school. 🕊️Create a Cozy Calm Corner in your staffroom (get permission first) 🪴 🫶

In a time where teachers and staff are expected to do SO much, it’s becoming more difficult to keep staff morale up.

This corner can be a space where teachers can have a little me-time when needed📚🌸💫

You may find just by doing this short exercise you will feel more focused and centred🪷
A good way to follow this is to imagine a square and the corners of the square are where you hold your breath and the long lines are where you inhale or exhale 🔲 Just trace the square in your mind and you know you are done😌

After a few times of using this exercise you will be craving more by doing more repetitions and practicing more often. A great place to do this is also the very first thing in the morning as you awaken before the frantic thoughts of the day come flooding into your awareness🌅

Taking mind breaks throughout the day has increased my creativity, lightened my mood and helped me to feel a sense of calm even in stressful situations.

Just take some meaningful breaths and you will find yourself in nirvana, even for just a few precious moments.

It’s the weekend, so you do you. But if you need a little boost for your body, blend some good ol’ greens 🌱Love to see it🫶
