🤖 MANDELA DAY UNPLUGGED CODING AND ROBOTICS COMPETITION

Grade 6 and 7 learners from KwaDukuza Primary School proudly participated in the Mandela Day Unplugged Coding and Robotics Competition, held at the Luthuli Museum on 4 August 2026.

Our learners showed great enthusiasm, teamwork and determination as they took on the various levels throughout the competition. Although our teams were not placed among the winners on the day, they competed admirably and gained valuable experience.

We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the positive spirit in which they represented KDP. This experience has motivated our young innovators to continue learning, exploring and developing their coding and robotics skills.

Well done to all our learners! We are proud of you! 🤖💻👏

Eco Club Learners Participate in KwaDukuza Open Streets Event

On 23 June 2026, the KwaDukuza Primary School Eco Club, accompanied by two educators, proudly participated in the KwaDukuza Open Streets Event, organised by the KwaDukuza Municipality.

The event brought together 11 schools from across the municipality, creating an exciting opportunity for learners to interact, learn, and celebrate the importance of healthy living, environmental awareness, and community involvement. Throughout the day, learners enthusiastically took part in a variety of fun and educational activities designed to promote sustainability and active lifestyles.

The highlight of the event was the colourful walk through the streets of KwaDukuza, where learners proudly represented their schools while promoting environmental responsibility and community spirit. Our Eco Club learners displayed excellent teamwork, enthusiasm, and respect, making KwaDukuza Primary School proud.

The Open Streets Event was a memorable and enriching experience that encouraged learners to appreciate the importance of protecting the environment while building stronger community connections. We extend our sincere gratitude to the KwaDukuza Municipality for organising such a successful event and providing our learners with an opportunity to learn, participate, and have fun alongside learners from the other participating schools. 🌟🌈🎉👏💚🌎

The amazing ladies of KwaDukuza Primary School treated the male staff to a special Father’s Day lunch after school on Friday, 19 June 2026. 🎉🍽️

It was an afternoon filled with laughter, fellowship and appreciation. The gentlemen were spoiled with thoughtful gifts 🎁, delicious food 🍛🍗 and warm hospitality, truly making them feel like kings for the day 👑.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful ladies who went above and beyond to make the occasion so memorable. Your kindness and generosity are deeply appreciated. 🌟💐

Kwa Dukuza Primary School proudly commemorated Africa Day with a vibrant and meaningful special assembly celebrating the rich diversity, unity and culture of our beautiful African continent 🌍✨

Our learners participated enthusiastically by creating and displaying the flags of various African countries 🇿🇦🇰🇪🇳🇬🇿🇼🇬🇭 while poems, speeches and cultural performances showcased the importance of African heritage, unity and pride 🎤🎭🌟

The celebration served as a powerful reminder of the beauty found in diversity and the shared pride we have as Africans ❤️💛💚🖤

Kwa Dukuza Primary School recently hosted its Internal Foundation Phase Poetry Competition for learners in Grades R to 3. The competition took place on 6 May 2026 for Grades R and 1, and on 7 May 2026 for Grades 2 and 3.

The event showcased the confidence, creativity and public speaking abilities of the young learners, who impressed adjudicators and spectators with their excellent performances and enthusiasm.

Learners from Grades 4 to 7 at KwaDukuza Primary School proudly participated in the school poetry competition , held at Luthuli Museum. The learners showed confidence, creativity, and excellent speaking skills. The event gave learners an opportunity to express their thoughts and emotions through poetry while building their public speaking abilities. Ntandoyenkosi Makhungo- GR 4 placed 2nd

Last Friday, the gentlemen of the KDP staff came together to celebrate and appreciate the incredible women of our school. 🌸✨

The day was filled with laughter, smiles, thoughtful treats, and special moments as we honoured the mothers and mother figures who play such an important role in our school community every single day. 💐
