I have found that not many are aware of the Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator qualification yes?
It is a great way to get into the training sector for those interested.

However... the trick comes in when knowing what you want to facilitate, assess and moderate.

You need to have a qualification and work experience within that field, for example, a welder.
You have to be a qualified welder, with a completed Trade Test and some work experience.
Once you have completed your Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator courses, you can then start training future welders.

Now, regarding where and with which training provider to do these courses with, you need to do some homework and ensure that the training provider you choose is accredited by ETDP SETA.

(The SETA assists in promoting the development of skills in all sectors.

Every industry and occupation is covered by their sectors. They ensure Seta internships, Seta learnerships and all skills and learning programs follow the skills development plan) .

Once you have signed up with the training provider of your choice, they MUST be able to assist you with completing your Portfolio of Evidence (POE) for each unit standard, and ALSO information on which SETA to register with, within your sector of experience and expertise.

Watch out for the "super cheap" courses, as the providers may not be accredited, and at the same time, the "super expensive" providers may also not be worth the money you pay.
