Build It U13 Soccer & Netball Festival

On Saturday, 1 August, our U13 soccer and netball teams proudly represented Loreto Primary School at the Build It plus Strand Sports Festival.

While we are proud of the effort and determination shown on the courts and fields, we are even prouder of the way our learners conducted themselves throughout the day. Whether celebrating a victory or accepting a defeat, they displayed humility, resilience and exceptional sportsmanship. They encouraged their teammates, congratulated their opponents, respected officials and represented our school with pride.

Our learners truly embodied the values of Loreto. They showed kindness in the way they interacted with others, responsibility by caring for the environment and the facilities, and respect in every interaction. Their behaviour reflected the character and values we strive to instil in every Loreto child.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated coaches, staff, parents and supporters for your encouragement and commitment. Most importantly, well done to our incredible learners. You made us proud, not only through your sporting achievements, but through the values you displayed both on and off the field.

On Thursday, 23 July, we had the privilege of welcoming SANCCOB to Loreto Primary School for an educational and interactive conservation presentation.

Our learners discovered the importance of protecting our oceans and seabirds, reducing pollution, and making sustainable choices. To end the visit, each learner proudly made the Penguin Pledge, promising to care for our environment and be part of the change.

This is only the beginning! Through our Green Team Initiative, we will continue to put these pledges into action as we work together to create a cleaner, healthier future for our planet.

A heartfelt thank you to SANCCOB for inspiring our learners to become young environmental champions!
