I’m excited to officially announce the launch of Cosmic Art Studios, offering both curriculum based Art Classes and Maths Extra Classes (and more in the future) for children in Somerset West 🎨

This is not just a casual arts and crafts setup. The vision is to create a beautiful, inspiring learning space where children can grow in creativity, confidence, artistic skill, and academic understanding through small group teaching and individual attention.

✔ Skill and technique progression over time
✔ Drawing, painting, mixed media, colour theory, composition, and creative development
✔ Age appropriate learning that builds step by step
✔ Creativity combined with guided artistic instruction

The focus is on helping children genuinely develop artistic ability and confidence, not just doing random arts and crafts projects each week. 😊

I may also later expand into additional extra classes and creative learning support, including areas such as creative writing, reading enrichment, and other imagination based learning activities.

I am a creative person at heart, a UNISA BSc Applied Mathematics student, and a mother of three. I worked in bookshops for over a decade, which gave me a deep love for books, reading, literature, creativity, and learning. I’ve always loved combining imagination, structure, and education in a way that helps children feel inspired instead of overwhelmed.

I’m currently finalising venue arrangements and class structure, and would love to get an idea of interest before opening registrations officially.

🎨 Art Classes for Grades R – 7 Coming Soon!

I’m so excited to be launching a structured art programme for children from Grades R–7 ✨

These classes are based on carefully planned lessons, meaning each lesson builds on the next. Children won’t just be doing random arts and crafts; they will be developing real skills and techniques over time.

Through the programme, children will:

🌈 Learn a variety of art techniques,
🎨 Work with different materials and mediums,
🖌️ Build drawing, design, and creative thinking skills,
📚 Be introduced to elements of art and a little art history.

Each lesson is designed to grow confidence, creativity, and a genuine understanding of art, because truly, everyone is an artist.

🕒 1 hour weekly lessons
👩‍🎨 Small, focused classes
📍 Based in Somerset West

The programme is ongoing, allowing children to develop their skills at their own pace.
