The ‘Jesus Standard’ — At your child’s exact age, Jesus was probably memorising scripture, learning a trade, or handling adult conversations. He wasn’t fragile. He wasn’t entertained. He was formed. Ask — ‘What is my child capable of that I’m doing FOR them?’ Give it back.

The 3-Minute Devotion — 1) Read one verse (twice). 2) Ask one question, let kids answer. 3) Everyone prays one sentence. That’s it. 3 minutes. Every weekday. 250 verses a year — from your kitchen table.

The ‘I Don’t Know, But I Know God’ Response — When your child asks a hard theological question — resist the urge to explain fully. Say — ‘I don’t fully know why. But I know God saw it, He cares, and He is good.’ Sit with the sadness. Don’t rush closure.

The Deuteronomy 6 Rhythm — Not sermons. Just — ‘talk about them when you sit at home, when you walk along the road, when you lie down.’ Weave faith into normal conversation. Answer questions honestly (including ‘I don’t know’). Never force. Always model. Faith takes root, doesn’t get imposed.

The ‘Al Pi Darko’ Discovery — Take one child at a time. Observe them for a week. What are they drawn to? What do they resist? What is their bent? Then design the training around THAT — not a generic plan. Proverbs 22:6, applied properly.

The Mirror Neuron Rule — Your child’s kindness is 90% what they SEE you do — not what you TELL them to do. This week — one stranger interaction, done with obvious kindness (name, eye contact, generous tip). Every time. Watch what your child becomes.

The Time-In Sequence — 1) When child is dysregulated, bring them CLOSE (not away). 2) Sit with them. Breathe slower than they do. Say little. 3) Once regulated (5-10 min), address the behaviour clearly. 4) End with reconnection. Regulate first. Correct second.

03/09/2026

The ‘I Hear You’ Loop — When your child pushes against a limit, respond ONLY with ‘I hear you. And [limit].’ Repeat as needed. You are not required to explain or justify. Limit holds. Emotion validated. Fight avoided.

02/09/2026

The ‘Let the World Teach’ Rule — Before intervening, ask — ‘Is there a natural consequence that would teach this?’ Cold day, no jacket = they get cold. Skipped dinner = a little hungry. Broken toy from throwing = toy is gone. Grandmother wisdom. Trust it.

The Intent Check — Before any consequence, pause 3 seconds. Ask — ‘Am I teaching or punishing?’ Same action, different intent. Discipline = teaching (works long-term). Punishment = suffering (works short-term, breaks trust). Choose discipline.
