The most likely outcome, after the company has conducted an investigation into this incident, will be that it was caused by a single PC being compromised through Phishing and NOT a lack of preventative security software! This has been the case in almost all high-profile incidents recently.
Knowing how to identify Phishing and other Cybersecurity threats is through Cybersecurity awareness training.
Software alone will not prevent a breach!

The incidence of fraud in digital banking has risen by 24%, from the previous year, resulting in a financial loss of R740 847 488 for the victims, according to the 2022 SABRIC crime stats report. This highlights the serious nature of this type of fraud and the potential impact that it can have on one's finances. To help navigate these threats, I am offering a cybersecurity course for older adults, aiming to inform them of these threats and raise their awareness of the ways scammers target them.
