When making such a decision, it is important to consider a few things such as,
•Child's age
•Child's personality
•Your availability
•Class duration
Online schooling offers many different approaches and can be adjusted to fit the mold of any student's unique circumstances.
Generally, longer classes are better suited for older kids & adults because sitting for long periods requires a healthy attention span.
Although young children can perform really well online, the daily class quantity should be minimized and balanced out with attending a brick and mortar school or with fun extra curricular activities that your child specifically enjoys.
It is vital that your child is immersed in a healthy social life and that they experience the outdoors with other children their age.
If your child is no longer attending a brick and mortar school, make sure to sign them up for weekend activities, take them on play dates and to visit family when you can.
There are many ways to keep your child stimulated even at home, soccer in the garden, yoga, fun arobics from YouTube, cooking or baking, pressing flowers or even playing hide-&-seek.
Help them enjoy their class breaks by giving them fun outdoor activities to try.
You could introduce your child to mindfulness exercises:
🧘♀️Have your child sit outside with their eyes closed.
Have them listen intently to the sounds around them.
Help them identify each sound & try to reach the furthest most distant sound possible.
This exercise will help them tune into a relaxed state and help to regain their mental energy.
Encourage the exploration of their creativity with things like painting, pottery, drawing, arts al& crafts etc & most importantly, spend quality time with them.
Try find ways to spread the classes out so your child is not spending hours on end staring at the computer screen.

5 Effective Ways to Encourage Learning in Children.
Learning is what children do the most from the day they are born. Every day is a learning process and it’s our job as parents to be their number one source of knowledge and wisdom.
Teaching children isn’t always an easy process - there are days when they won’t feel interested and motivated. There will be days that he won’t want to go to school. The key is to be patient as little ones learn best at their own pace.
There are many ways to encourage learning in children. Try these 5 easy and effective ways!
•Spend time with your little one
Kids best learn from their parents, especially during the early years. It is important that each child knows that their parents believe in them. When a child lives in a loving and nurturing environment, he will be more motivated to learn new things and to do well in everything. Spend plenty of quality time with your little one and don’t forget to remind her that you believe in her and her ability to do well.
•Involve your extended family
As mentioned, the very foundation of learning in children is to be in an environment that is nurturing, encouraging, and supportive. It would be helpful if you ask people who care about your little one (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, etc.) to help encourage him to do well in school. This way, he’ll feel motivated even outside of home.
•Make your quality time a learning experience
Daily play and quality time with your young one are important. Why not make it a fun way of learning? Read a book (act the characters out!), play educational games, sing fun songs, do arts and crafts or visit a museum (make sure it’s age-appropriate!). New activities and new environments help a lot!

Playing the Role of Teacher & Parent.
Written by Maaz Murad
Home is the first place of education for a kid. Character building starts from a very young age when kids start to mirror the behavior of their parents. In fact, actual learning is affected by the right balance between school and home education. The right feedback and support are crucial in the learning capability of young students. The role of a parent as a teacher has increased due to COVID-19 and resulting measures of online education. Parents have to play the role of a Parent and a teacher. Can they?
“Every parent is a teacher, but not all parents teach.”- Anthony D. Williams
Parent-teachers can be better teachers
On the plus side, parents have a higher level of trust and stronger relationship with their children. This is conducive to learning as children do not feel the pressure of accountability and strict rules. Parents can inspire children to learn for inspiration rather than to avoid punishments or fines. Positive emotions surpass negative emotions every time. Parents have an advantage over teachers in their ability to bring out the positive emotional reactions of their children to anything, including education. Schools employ a number of negative reinforcements like fines, competition, and peer-pressure in order to get good outcomes. Such emotions can inhibit both growth and learning in the long-term. Further, parents can instill the value of reading and learning as part of their child’s life rather than make education seem like a finite activity.
The right Teachers
Be a role model to your children. Read and learn together in order to set an example. Provide guidance while allowing freedom over schedules and activities. Create an environment encrusted with the right cues and avoid distractions (keep joysticks away). Provide timely and effective feedback. Do regular checks to make sure children do not get stuck. This is very common among kids below 8. The right outcomes should be immediately rewarded to make subconscious connections between desirable behaviors and the reward. Tell stories that help with learning and inspiration. Think of fun and exciting ways to educate. Provide breaks for relaxation and make sure discipline is followed.
Freedom over strictness
One of the issues with being a parent-teacher is the lack of discipline and controls which are more easily employed in schools. Parents cannot afford to be as strict as teachers for too long. Some kids are hard to manage and parents might find it hard to keep up with study schedules if kids are not cooperative. In such a situation, a child should be given time and space to think and take up some of the responsibility. Giving freedom with corresponding responsibility helps in their personal growth. Further, parents should try to automate learning to every extent possible. Children who have control over their own studies and schedules are often precautious.
Bottom Line
Due to their natural connection and empathy with their children, parents can be great teachers. Some parents might need to take a little training because of the critical nature of the role; however, most parents should find it easy to teach their children. Parents are the best teachers because they give special knowledge to their kids, knowledge that cannot be taken from books.
