Daily Lock down Q&A - 9 April
Q: Will Etchells & Young still be collecting rent and managing my property during the Lockdown?
A: Yes, even though E&Y are observing the Lockdown, our Team is working remotely from home with virtual access to our server and property management systems.
Our switchboard is also operational and thanks to cloud-based technology, phone calls can be transferred to staff members as if they were in the office.
We have had a very busy week processing tenant payments, paying landlord accounts and disbursing rentals.
To date we have processed almost 89% of our monthly rent-roll, we think that under these Lockdown circumstances that is excellent!

o Capturing New Leases
o Invoicing Tenants in Portfolio
o Capturing & Receipting Tenant payment
o Follow up and Collection of Arrears Rentals
o Payments of Utilities on behalf of Owners
o Owner payments
o Sending out Owner Statements
o Rental Reconciliations
o Lease Renewals
o Lease Cancellations
o Problem Solving
• Coordination of Property Maintenance on behalf of Owners with Maintenance
Dept
• Ongoing communication with Tenants and Owners
• Management of and building long term relationships with Owners and Tenants
Salary R13000 (CTC), subject to experience
We would like to hear from you if you have:
• MINIMUM of 2 years Experience in Residential Property Management
• Strong Financial background & able to work on Financial or Property Management Systems
• Understand Rental Property Legislation
• Disciplined and Structured with strong Administration skills
• Strength in working with people and building Client Relationships
• Excellent Communicator and esp, good telephone manner
• Excellent problem solving and able to handle “tough” clients
• Must have own transport / easily able to get to work in FERNDALE
• Able to start ASAP
