Today, the Career Club officially kicked off its brand-new planting project, and the energy across the school grounds was absolutely electric!

Our learners didn’t just show up; they dove straight into the dirt with incredible enthusiasm. From the very first scoop of soil, the teamwork was inspiring to watch. Learners were collaborating, laughing, and mapping out their planting strategies like true professionals.

Our Grade R learners had an exciting and educational visit from the fire truck as part of our “What Work Do We Do?” theme! 🚒

The learners had the wonderful opportunity to learn more about the important work that firefighters do, how they help people in emergencies, and the equipment they use to keep our community safe. 🧯👨‍🚒❤️

It was a fun, hands-on learning experience that brought their classroom theme to life! 🌟📚

Our Grade R learners had an amazing week celebrating career dress-up day! The children wore wonderful outfits representing different community helpers and exciting jobs.

Special Guest Presentations:
Police officers visited the school to teach kids about safety and how they help the community.
Traffic officers showed everyone how they manage the roads and direct cars safely.
Interactive talks let the children ask questions and see real safety gear up close.Highlights of the week was the creative costumes showed off as well as the big smiles that filled the classrooms as children shared what they want to be when they grow up.

Math in Motion: Grade 7s Bring Triangles to Life! 📐✨

Our Grade 7 learners took geometry to a whole new level during their math intervention class! Instead of using paper, they worked together to create different types of triangles and calculate their degrees using their own bodies.

Through great teamwork, they brought abstract concepts to life and physically proved that the angles of a triangle always add up to 180 degrees.

Grade 7 Entrepreneurship Day Preparations! 🌟

Our Grade 7 learners have officially started their journey towards Entrepreneurship Day/Market Day! 🛍️💡

Today was all about discussion, interaction, teamwork and preparation as learners shared their ideas, listened to one another and began thinking about what products or services they could offer on the big day.

It was wonderful to see learners engaging in meaningful conversations, asking questions, making suggestions and learning how to work together to turn an idea into a possible business opportunity. 💬🤝

These discussions are not only preparing them for Market Day, but are also helping them develop important life skills such as communication, problem-solving, decision-making, creativity and teamwork.

We are excited to watch their ideas grow and come to life! 🌱💰✨

🌿 Teamwork in full bloom!

On Thursday, our Career Club learners rolled up their sleeves and got to work transforming our garden space.

These dedicated learners started clearing out the old weeds, turning the soil, and preparing the ground for fresh, new growth. This project isn't just about making our environment beautiful—it is a fantastic way for our learners to build teamwork, practical project management skills, and a strong work ethic.

A huge thank you to every learner who showed up, got their hands dirty, and put in the hard work. This is only the beginning, and we can’t wait to watch this garden—and our learners' skills—grow!

End of an era at Lourier Primary! 🔑✨

Yesterday, we officially said goodbye to the incredible Mrs Sampson as she hung up her classroom keys to begin an exciting new chapter.

Mrs Sampson has been the epitome of dedication, warmth, and excellence. She didn't just teach lessons; she shaped lives, inspired dreams, and left an indelible mark on every student and staff member who walked through our halls. Lourier Primary simply won't be the same without her, and she will be deeply missed by our entire school community.

To send her off in style, the team came together to share some sweet treats, fond memories, and heartfelt laughter. 🧁❤️
