Humility is not weakness.
It is strength surrendered to a greater Kingdom.

Our Lifework Leadership Pretoria HUMILITY session was a deeply meaningful afternoon of reflection, formation and inspiration.

We were also privileged to enjoy a wonderful culture tour through the King Price office building — a powerful reminder that culture is not only what is written on walls, but what is lived through people. It was a fitting setting to reflect on the kind of leadership that builds beyond a company, beyond a title, and ultimately toward Kingdom impact.

Muller Crauwcamp reminded us from Matthew 5:14 that we are here to be light — to bring out the God-colours in the world. Through the beautiful image of a prism splitting white light into colour, he helped us reflect on how God’s light is expressed through our lives in different and meaningful ways.

Adele Beetge gave us a practical and authentic picture of humble leadership in the workplace. She reminded us that true leadership is often seen not in status, but in service, consistency, care and contribution.

Her closing thought stayed with us:

“Your name might not be on the building, but your fingerprints are all over it.”

Quintin Wiehahn challenged and inspired us with the words of Oswald Chambers:

“When you fear God, you fear nothing else, whereas if you do not fear God, you fear everything else.”

He invited us to reflect deeply on humility, surrender, courage and our relationship with God as business leaders.

May we continue to grow as leaders who do not build our own kingdoms, but serve faithfully in God’s Kingdom — with humility, courage and light.

Humility is “being nothing more or less than who you really are.”

At our next Lifework Leadership Pretoria open session on 27 August, we will explore HUMILITY and what it means to lead as servant-leaders.

Jesus modelled a different kind of leadership: one that is not driven by ego, status, or personal ambition, but by surrender, service and obedience.

He showed His disciples what it means to die to self, to follow Him as ultimate authority, and to serve in ways where no task is too low.

Integrity is not a destination, it is a lifelong journey of learning, surrender, alignment and obedience.

Our Lifework Leadership Pretoria session on INTEGRITY challenged us deeply as we reflected on what it means to walk worthy of our calling.

Pastor Marcus Norden reminded us that what we value most is often reflected in our diary and our bank account. We spend our time and resources on what truly matters to us.

He challenged us to pray:

“God, align my heart with Your heart.
Align my priorities with Your priorities.”

Integrity begins with relationship. It begins with our relationship with God. Rules and ethics may be a starting point, but true integrity is formed as we follow Jesus and allow Him to shape who we are becoming.

Nico van der Merwe reminded us that integrity is not perfection. It is the consistent pursuit of obedience and doing the right thing. He challenged us to consider the quality of our quiet time with God, and to ask whether a good deal is truly a God deal.

Cerita Nagy brought a practical and insightful perspective on what integrity looks like in the workplace, showing us that integrity is not only a belief we hold, but a life we live in our decisions, conversations, responsibilities, and leadership.

We were also privileged to enjoy a wonderful tour of the Javett Art Centre at the University of Pretoria. What a meaningful space for reflection, conversation and connection as part of the evening.

The challenge remains:

What does it look like to lead, decide, spend, build and influence in a way that is fully aligned with the heart and priorities of God?

May we become leaders whose words, actions, priorities, and decisions are increasingly aligned with the heart of God.

Integrity is complete and undivided truth.

At our next Lifework Leadership Pretoria session, 16 July, we will explore what it means to walk worthy of your calling.

Leaders with integrity do not send divided messages. Their words and actions are aligned. Their character carries their calling.

Jesus lived a life of truth, and His integrity gave credibility to His mission and impact.

Compassion sees.
Compassion moves.
Compassion acts.

Our Lifework Leadership Pretoria session on COMPASSION challenged us deeply.

Jean Symons reminded us that compassion is one of the healthiest conditions of the human soul. It is not something passive or sentimental. Compassion gets us moving. It asks a confronting leadership question:

Are we truly moved by compassion?

He also reminded us that compassionate leadership does not only respond to the felt need, but seeks to understand and address the real need. And often, the place to begin is simply with the question: What do I have in my hand?

Yolandi Venter shared with honesty, wisdom and conviction, helping us reflect on the decisions we make, the people we notice and the moments where compassion asks something of us. Thank you for sharing your story with us - truly inspiring. Thank you also for hosting us a t the beautiful B | Loved Foundation Theatre.

Willem Du Toit then brought a deeply practical and actionable challenge:

Some see, but do not understand.
Some understand, but do not care.
Some care, but do not act.

Action is where compassion becomes visible.

He reminded us that we can lead with both compassion and standards. That leadership is about responsibility, but never responsibility detached from people. It is not only about influence, but service. Not only about seeing the need, but being moved by compassion into action.

May we become leaders who do not merely notice need, but move toward it with wisdom, courage and love.
