🎓💙 Academic Success goes beyond academics.

Our UP Academic Success Coaches meet regularly not only to strengthen the support we provide our students academically, but also to explore how we can support our students holistically.

This morning’s session included an insightful community engagement presentation from our Faculty of Theology and Religion Academic Success Coach, reminding us of the importance of giving back and supporting the communities we serve. 🤝💙

And today, we’re putting that into action! Our Academic Success Coaches have a limited number of food parcels available for UP students who may be in need of a little extra support. 🛍️

If you need assistance, please reach out to your Faculty Academic Success Coach.

📌 Please note: Food parcels are extremely limited and available while stocks last.

Sometimes student success starts with recognising that support extends beyond the classroom. 💙

🎬 Coming soon to Netflix: The Last-Minute Student 😭📚

Okay, okay… we know we’re a little late to this trend, but in our defence, we’ve been too busy FLYing@UP. 💙😂

Our Peer Advisors know this storyline a little TOO well:

Student: “Hi, I really need help…”
Peer Advisor: “Of course! When is your test?”
Student: “…tomorrow.” 🫠

All jokes aside, Test Week 3 is almost here, and this is your reminder that academic support works best when you seek it BEFORE it becomes an academic emergency! 🚨

📚 Test Week 3: 22–29 August & 5 September

Speak to your Peer Advisors, Academic Success Coaches, lecturers and other UP support services early. Ask the question. Book the appointment. Get clarity. Start preparing. Don’t wait until the night before. 👀

To all our UP students heading into Test Week 3: GOOD LUCK! 💙 You’ve got this!

And remember… we don’t want to see you starring in The Last-Minute Student: Season 2. 😭😂
