After School Art Project

Since the lockdown we experienced a lot of challenges that almost got us locked up.After School Art Project deals with youth idleness in communities using art to facilitate personal and enterprise development.
working with 5 schools in Orlando West Soweto ,an NGO and community groups the main issue was around food and wellness. So we are focusing most of our attention on self sustainable lifestyle.Starting with a food garden project that will serve more than 1200 households in the next 3 months.

We are embracing permaculture as a way of growing our sustainable food chain working with nature.This direction lead the guys To extend their hands and donated some seeds for the and link us up with Howe-Watson and Shanti . It allowed for our network to grow meeting Cherty for the seeds advice and link up with some farmers in Orlando East.Exited to be working with these amazing individuals practicing permaculture for some time now and starting gardens and working with children.

It as a day well spent.Facilitators we’re excited to be out in the fields again.We truly miss the children .
