RCL Camp 8-10 April 2026

What an unforgettable weekend!

Our RCL leaders headed out to camp for a few days of growth, grit, and great food!

From the second they arrived, it was all about teamwork. Whether they were tackling field challenges or making sure "no learner was left behind," the spirit of unity was unmatched. 🀝

The highlight? The Friday night Group Battle! Groups had to create a name using a color, an animal, and a fruit. Shoutout to the Golden Apple Eagles for taking the crown in the ultimate chant battle!

They also:
πŸ₯Ύ Conquered a Saturday morning hike.
πŸͺΊ Built bird nests from natural materials (and protected their eggs from "thieves"!).
β€‹πŸ’‘ Shared their vision for how to make our school even better.
πŸ”₯ Got inspired by powerful talks on leadership and academic greatness.

A special reminder from the speakers: Your potential has no limits. Whether you are hearing or deaf, a job and a future of greatness are within your reach! πŸŽ“

🌟 Proud Moment for Our School 🌟

A big congratulations to two of our staff members for their achievements at the National Teaching Awards:

πŸ‘ Mrs Ouma Mudau, our Deputy Principal, was named Runner-Up (Tshwane South, Cluster 1) for Excellence in Special Needs School Leadership. Her steady, caring leadership makes a meaningful impact on our school every day.

πŸ‘ Mrs Elzane Day, Departmental Head of the Foundation Phase, was the Cluster Finalist who went on to become the Gauteng Provincial Winner for Excellence in Special Needs Teaching. She later progressed to the National level. Her passion and dedication to her learners truly stand out.

We are incredibly proud of both of you and grateful for the difference you make in our school community
