I grew up in poverty, and escaping it became my mission.
As a man, one of the hardest things to face is the thought of remaining a poor father for the rest of your life—watching your children go without opportunities, seeing their confidence shrink because they come from a struggling family, and carrying the weight of knowing your family depends on you but your resources are limited.
That is why every man should strive to improve his situation. Poverty is not just a shortage of money; it affects choices, opportunities, confidence, and dignity.
People may tell you to "be a man," but when your pockets are empty and your responsibilities are heavy, you feel the pressure deep in your bloodstream. The world often measures a man's value by what he can provide, protect, and build.
Work hard. Learn new skills. Take risks. Build businesses. Create something that outlives your strength. One day your energy will fade, but the results of your labor should remain standing as evidence that you fought to give your family a better life.
A man's greatest legacy is not the struggle he endured, but the doors he opened for those who come after him.
