NWU-Pukke Vergeet-My-Nie Dameskoshuis

NWU-Pukke Vergeet-My-Nie Dameskoshuis Dameskoshuis op die NWU PUK. Trots sedert 1973. Gaan vir goud vir Hom. Always dressed for success.

Inspired by The Devil Wears Prada and the world of Vogue, our theme, Tailored to Perfection, celebrated femininity, creativity, and the love of creating something beautiful together.

One of the highlights of our repertoire was our unique measuring tape percussion, together with our original composition, โ€œFit Reg Rukโ€, featuring the line: โ€œMeet, knip, skeur, stik. Ons sal altyd jou fit reg ruk.โ€ ๐Ÿ“ผ

As much as we loved every moment on stage, our closing medley, โ€œHuis is waar jou hart is,โ€ is the piece that will stay with us forever. It reminded us that home is not a placeโ€”itโ€™s the people you share the journey with.

And to top it all offโ€ฆ Ladies Sรชr 2025 Champions.

As part of a CSE initiative, each corridor had the opportunity to design a new sign for our community project, Kagiso Daycare.

The evening was filled with creativity, teamwork, and plenty of laughter as ladies from every corridor came together to create something meaningful. Later this week, weโ€™ll be painting the winning design at the school. ๐ŸŽจ

At Vergeet-My-Nie, Tough Girls is more than just a song โ€” itโ€™s a way of celebrating one another.

Whenever a lady or a group achieves something special or reaches an important milestone, we gather to sing Tough Girls as a way of showing our support and sharing in their success. Itโ€™s a tradition that has been part of our residence for many years and continues to remind us that every achievement is worth celebrating together.

While our Primaria was taking part in the Big Prims challenge, the ladies of Vergeet-My-Nie made the most of the past few days with plenty of fun around the residence.

From corridor games and volleyball with our Sleepies to jumping castle fun, the past few days were filled with laughter, friendly competition, and unforgettable memories. It was the perfect opportunity to spend time together and enjoy everything that makes VMN feel like home. ๐Ÿ’›

We are so grateful for our deputy-primaria, Delia Steyn, for organising all the events!

For the next 48 hours, Chanelle Smith will be taking part in the Big Prims challenge. ๐Ÿงƒ

Staying in a glass cage, with only water and no food, this initiative aims to raise awareness of the reality of food insecurity experienced by many students.

Big Prims highlights the importance of community, compassion, and supporting those facing financial hardship. It reminds us that even small acts of generosity can make a meaningful difference.

At Vergeet-My-Nie - Go for Gold, For Him - reminds us to pursue excellence with humility, serve others with purpose, and honour God in everything we do. Whether in academics, sport, leadership, service, or everyday life, we aim to give our bestโ€”not for ourselves, but for His glory. ๐ŸŒป

โ€œWhatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human mastersโ€œ - Colossians 3:23

The Transformation and Diversity (TAD) with Current Affairs portfolio is centred on promoting awareness, inclusion, and meaningful conversations about the world around us. Through interactive discussions, awareness campaigns, and engaging events, TAD creates opportunities for ladies to learn, grow, and broaden their perspectives.

Throughout the year, the TAD portfolio hosts four major awareness weeks, where Vergeet-My-Nie takes part in creative events and interactive stalls on Loversโ€™ Lane and the Libraryโ€™s grass. These initiatives encourage meaningful conversations while strengthening our sense of community and belonging.
