ADMINISTRATOR & PROJECT COORDINATOR ASSISTANT

Full-Time | Potchefstroom, North West

ABOUT THE ROLE

ISD Group is looking for a highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented Administrator & Project Coordinator Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative and project coordination support, maintain professional communication with clients and the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS), and ensure that administrative and financial tasks are completed accurately and on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide general administrative and project coordination support.

• Communicate professionally with clients, suppliers and the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS).

• Keep up to date with client matters, project progress and outstanding requirements.

• Assist with coordinating and following up on projects and applications.

• Prepare and issue quotations and invoices.

• Assist with debtors and creditors.

• Maintain accurate and organised client and project records.

• Manage correspondence, documentation and filing.

• Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments and site visits.

• Follow up on outstanding information, documentation and payments.

• Work confidently with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Provide general administrative support to management and the project team.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2–3 years’ experience in administration, project coordination, personal assistance or a similar role.

• Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in both Afrikaans and English.

• Ability to communicate professionally with clients and government departments.

• Ability to work independently, take initiative and follow tasks through to completion.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Strong follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Reliable, responsible, punctual and well organised.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone who is organised, dependable and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of their responsibilities. The successful candidate should naturally keep track of what needs to be done, follow up without being asked, communicate well with others and remain calm and productive in a high-pressure environment. Experience working with clients, government departments or water-related applications and projects will be advantageous.

JOB VACANCY – GEOHYDROLOGIST
Full-Time | Potchefstroom
ISD Water & Environmental is seeking an experienced and professionally registered Geohydrologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in geohydrological investigations, groundwater assessments, technical reporting and water-related projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct and oversee geohydrological investigations and groundwater assessments.
Interpret groundwater, borehole and aquifer-related data.
Conduct and/or manage borehole testing and field investigations.
Prepare professional geohydrological and groundwater reports.
Provide technical input into Water Use Licence Applications and related water-use projects.
Assist with water balances, groundwater assessments and technical documentation.
Engage with clients, consultants and relevant authorities.
Review technical information and ensure reports meet professional standards.
Undertake site visits and fieldwork as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
5+ years’ relevant professional work experience in geohydrology.
SACNASP registration in the appropriate professional category is essential.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Geohydrology, Hydrogeology, Geology or a related field.
Demonstrable experience with groundwater investigations and borehole-related work.
Strong technical report-writing skills.
Good knowledge of South African water-resource legislation and water-use authorisation processes.
Experience with Water Use Licence Applications and/or eWULAAS will be advantageous.
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for site visits.
Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE
Geohydrological reports for Water Use Licence Applications.
Borehole testing, aquifer assessment and groundwater modelling.
Liaising with DWS and other regulatory authorities.
Multidisciplinary water and environmental consultancy experience.
