πŸ† HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR OUTSTANDING ATHLETES! πŸ†

We are beyond proud to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of our talented youth across track and field, archery, soccer, netball, and tennis! Their hard work and dedication continue to yield incredible results on the local and national stage.

πŸƒ Track & Field Triumph at EPCSSA
Our athletes put on an absolute masterclass at the recent EPCSSA Athletics Day:

Ngcali Ngwekazi dominated the distance events, winning the 1500m and taking victory in the 800m with a national qualifying time to secure his spot at Nationals!

Quinn Elliott swept the sprints, placing 1st in both the 100m and 200m with national qualifying times. Quinn also racked up the highest individual points of the entire meet, earning the coveted Senior Victor Ludorum!

🎯 National Archery Selection
Precision and focus paid off on the range as Daleen Brink, Ray Riddin, and Alex Wantenaar all earned selection to the EP Archery Team. They will be representing the province at the National Championships later this year!

⚽ 🏐 U13 Build It Festival Success
Our players showcased fantastic sportsmanship and skill on the soccer pitches and netball courts:

Both Jessica-Leigh Rautenbach and Mia Oosthuizen earned well-deserved nominations as players of the day.

Mia Oosthuizen was selected as one of the top overall performers of the festival, walking away with a special prize hamper!

🎾 Court Success
Adding to their busy athletic schedules, Ngcali Ngwekazi and Mia Oosthuizen recently excelled at a regional tennis tournament, with Ngcali capturing 1st place in the B-Section and Mia tying for an impressive 3rd place in her division.

Thank you to our athletes, coaches, and supporting parents for making these achievements possible. We cannot wait to follow your journey to Nationals! πŸ‘πŸŽ‰

⚑ Sparking Curiosity & Practical Skills! πŸ”Œ

Electricity is a big part of our everyday livesβ€”and an exciting section of our Natural Sciences curriculum!

Our Grade 6 learners recently enjoyed a hands-on practical session led by Mr. Ian Roberts, where they learned the step-by-step process of wiring a plug. Talk about a practical life skill that will definitely come in handy! πŸ› οΈ

Through our Design & Technology program, we love bringing learning to life with hands-on projects. To consolidate what they’ve learned, each child will now create their own animated PowerPoint presentation on "How to Wire a Plug," complete with key safety measures. πŸ’‘

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Roberts for taking time out of his schedule to share his expertise with our learners! 🌟

On Friday morning we presented leadership badges to our Grade 7 pupils. This is an exciting opportunity for our grade 7’s to grow and develop valuable leadership skills within the school environment.
The Grade 7’s will take on various responsibilities during the year, including assisting staff, carrying out assigned duties, and serving as class monitors. Through these roles, we aim to encourage accountability, teamwork, initiative, and positive influence among their peers.
Our approach is rooted in the principle of servant leadership β€” the understanding that true leaders lead by serving others with humility, respect, and integrity. We trust that this experience will help them grow in confidence and character as they contribute positively to the school.
Congratulations to all the Grade 7 pupils. We wish them every success as they embrace their responsibilities and lead by example throughout the year.

We were honoured to welcome special guests all the way from Ireland on the last day of term 1, Mr Rory and Mrs Bridget McNelis. Mr and Mrs McNelis are the founders of KFS, and Mrs McNelis served as the school’s first principal.
