🚢 PLETT SEA SCOUTS NEED YOUR HELP! ⚓️

We’re looking for a small storage container to safely store and maintain our Scout equipment.

We don’t have a permanent home yet, so having secure storage is incredibly important to help us protect our gear and continue giving the youth of Plett the skills, confidence and adventures that Scouting provides.

While our Troop was busy learning valuable first aid skills, our Pack was hard at work learning all about knotting! 🪢⚜️

From life-saving skills to mastering essential Scouting techniques, it's wonderful to see our young people learning, growing, and having fun together.

A great Monday evening at Plett Sea Scouts! 💙

This evening, our First Aid theme continued at Plettenberg Bay Sea Scouts, and we were incredibly fortunate to have our very own ambulance team from Medlife join us.

What an amazing bonus! It was fantastic for our Scouts to meet actual first responders and see firsthand the important role they play in our community.

A huge thank you to Warren Roman and his team for taking the time to visit our troop, showing our Scouts around the ambulance, explaining the equipment they use, and giving them a real insight into the incredible work of emergency medical services. We truly appreciate your support and for making the evening such a memorable experience. 🚑⚜️

Scouting has been part of Mossel Bay since 1909, and together we can make sure its story continues.

We're inviting former Scouts, former Scouters, parents, community members, and anyone who wants to make a difference to join us for a Community Gathering on 19 August. This is your opportunity to help shape the future of Scouting in Mossel Bay and invest in the next generation.

🔥 Last Meeting of the Term 🔥

We wrapped up the term in style, sharing a great evening together with our Cub Pack. Moments like these really highlight the importance of the connection between our Pack and Troop.

Building these relationships gives our Cubs something to look forward to — helping them feel excited, confident, and ready to take the next step when their Cubbing journey comes to an end and their Scouting adventure begins.

A very warm welcome to Grace and her mom on joining our Troop, and congratulations to Grace on being invested as a Scout last night — we’re excited to have you as part of the team and look forward to the journey ahead!

Thank you to our Scouts for setting such a great example, showing leadership, and making the Cubs feel part of the bigger Scouting family.

Here’s to strong bonds, great leadership, and many more shared adventures ahead!

🐾 Last Meeting of the Term 🐾

What an awesome way to finish off the term! Our Cubs had the chance to share in some of the Scouts programme, and it was great to see the learning, skills, and fun in action.

A big welcome to Dewen and his family — we’re so excited to have you join our Pack and be part of all the adventures ahead!

👏 Huge congratulations to Alex and Asha for earning your Water Champ badges 💧💦 — amazing effort, you should be very proud!

A big thank you to Riki-Tiki-Tavi, Ikki, and Leela for all your hard work and energy this term. Our Pack wouldn’t be the same without you — teamwork really does make the dream work!

🐺 Cubs, enjoy your break and come back ready for more fun, challenges, and adventure!

Yesterday afternoon, Akela ran the Cubs Swimming Badge assessment, and wow — the Cubs did incredibly well! They truly made us all proud.

Earning the Swimming Badge is an important milestone, as Cubs need to complete it before they can take part in any swimming activities.

This helps ensure everyone understands and practices essential water safety.

Well done, Cubs — fantastic effort all around! 🐺💙

A big congratulations to our Assistant Scout Group Leader, Mark Brown (Keego), who has officially received his warrant! 👏

Thank you for your commitment and dedication to our group — it truly makes a difference. We look forward to many more years of happy scouting with you as part of the journey.
