Wow wow wow!

What an incredible honour it was for our dancers to perform at the Springboks vs Scotland Test Match at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.

We were honoured to stand alongside the Jocks Pipes and Drums and the Street Stylers Entertainment to showcase the pride, passion and tradition of both pipe bands and dancing on such an incredible stage.

Some people leave footprints on the platform. Others leave them on generations of hearts.

This week, our Highland dancing community said goodbye to one of its true matriarchs, Judy Lucas.

For more than 70 years, Judy dedicated her life to Highland dancing. She was a dancer, a teacher, a mentor and, to so many of us, a constant source of encouragement and wisdom. Her passion shaped countless dancers, and her kindness made everyone feel they belonged.

Her legacy will never be measured only by medals, championships or years of service, but by the confidence she inspired, the friendships she nurtured, and the love she gave so freely to our dancing community.

Although our hearts are heavy, we are deeply grateful to have shared in her remarkable journey. Her influence will continue through every dance.

Thank you, Judy, for everything you gave to Highland dancing, and to all of us who were fortunate enough to know you.

Rest peacefully. You will be missed, remembered, and forever part of our Highland family. ❤️

This year’s Gathering is bigger than ever, as the event has been elevated to a National Championship🏆, welcoming pipe bands from across South Africa to compete on the beautiful grounds of Pretoria Boys High School. Expect a full day of world-class piping and drumming, traditional dress, spirited competition, and an unforgettable atmosphere. 🥁🎵
