🌟 Career Day 2026 at Shining Star Early Childhood Development Centre 🌟

What an incredible day we had yesterday celebrating Career Day! 👩‍⚕️👨‍🚒👮‍♀️👨‍🍳👩‍🏫✈️👷‍♂️

Our little Shining Stars arrived dressed as the professionals they dream of becoming one day. It was heartwarming to see their excitement, confidence, and imagination as they proudly shared their future ambitions with their teachers and friends.

At Shining Star Early Childhood Development Centre, we believe that every child has unlimited potential. Career Day encourages our learners to dream big, believe in themselves, and understand that with hard work, dedication, and education, anything is possible.

67 Minutes of Kindness. Tiny Hands. Big Hearts. ❤️🖐️

Today, our little stars at Shining Stars Early Childhood Development Centre proudly dedicated 67 minutes in honour of Nelson Mandela Day.

Together, they created a beautiful group poster using their colourful handprints, each one representing a promise to spread kindness, respect, love and hope. Every handprint is a reminder that no voice is too small to make a difference and that even the youngest members of our community can leave a lasting mark on the world.

Nelson Mandela believed that children are our greatest treasure and the future of our nation. By teaching our learners the values of compassion, sharing and helping others from an early age, we are keeping Madiba's legacy alive—one small act of kindness at a time.

What a relaxing and exciting day we had at Shining Star ECD Centre today! Our little stars arrived in their cozy pajamas ready for a fun-filled Spa Treatment Day filled with pampering, laughter, learning, and lots of smiles. 💕🌟

The children enjoyed activities such as gentle hand massages, pretend facials, nail care, relaxation time, music, storytelling, and sensory play. These fun experiences are not only enjoyable, but also support important areas of early childhood development.

🌈 Today’s activities helped develop:
🖐 Fine motor skills through painting nails, sensory activities, and self-care play
💬 Language and communication skills through social interaction and role play
😊 Emotional development by encouraging self-confidence, relaxation, and self-expression

🍎🥕 Fruits and Vegetables Theme Week 🥦🍌

Our 3–4 year old learners had an exciting and educational week exploring the importance of fruits and vegetables! 🌟

Through hands-on activities, the children practiced tearing and pasting paper pieces neatly inside the lines, strengthening their fine motor skills, concentration, and hand-eye coordination. ✂️🖐️

The learners also painted vegetable drawings while learning about colours, shapes, and healthy food choices. 🎨🥬 These activities encouraged creativity, listening skills, and the ability to follow instructions carefully.

Throughout the week, we discussed the names of different fruits and vegetables, where they come from, and why eating healthy foods helps our bodies grow strong and healthy. 🍓🌽

We are proud of our learners for their wonderful participation, creativity, and eagerness to learn! 💛

Our little stars in the 1–2 year old class had so much fun exploring fruits and vegetables this week! 🌟

The learners enjoyed completing creative activities by tearing paper pieces and pasting them neatly inside the lines, helping to develop their fine motor skills and hand coordination. ✂️🖐️

They also had fun painting beautiful vegetable drawings while practicing painting inside the lines. 🎨🥦 The classroom was filled with excitement, colour, and creativity!

We are so proud of our little learners for their wonderful effort and participation. 💛

📚✨ Celebrating World Book Day at Shining Stars! ✨📚

Our Shining Stars had a wonderful day celebrating the magic of books and imagination! We enjoyed a special visit to the library where our little learners explored books, listened to beautiful stories, and discovered the joy of reading. 📖💫

The day was filled with fun games, storytelling adventures, laughter, and learning — making World Book Day a truly memorable experience for all. Watching our children’s excitement as they engaged with stories and play reminded us how important it is to nurture a love for reading from a young age. ❤️

A big thank you to everyone who made this special day possible. Our Shining Stars had an unforgettable time! 🌟
