Children will use guitars, percussion, recorders, and voice to learn rhythms and melody.

TOOTING TURTLES VISION
Mission Statement: To build up children intellectually, emotionally and physically through music. Love is at the centre of what we do.
Outcomes:
• Children will practice Music as a discipline and as an art.
• Children will practice Kindness, Sharing, Team work and Patience.
AIMS:
• To develop auditory melodic and rhythmic memory (Glocks/Percussion)
• Vocal training (From crying/screaming to singing) as an emotional outlet.
• To develop motor skills from large global movements to fine motor movements (Glocks/Guitar)
• To develop hand eye coordination (Glocks and Guitar)
• To develop breathing and hyper ventilating control skills (especially for children with asthma and claustrophobia) (Recorder)
• To develop spatial concepts (Up/down, over/under/through, in/out, open/shut)
• To identify music talent and special gifts early.
• To develop vocabulary, phonics, mathematical concepts(counting, more/less, big/small, fast/slow, loud/soft), body movement (marching) and other concepts.
• To develop affective(emotional development) music appreciation (Objective listening to music)
