We are looking for someone that has a warm, smiling face that makes every child feel special. You must be fun, loving, creative and have a huge passion for working with children. Our school places high emphases on learning through play and you must be willing to share in this enthusiasm with us.
Job Description:
• Create lesson plans for each class based on your experience and the learners' specific needs
• Introduce interactive activities into the classroom and encourage learners to vocalise their concerns and questions
• Communicate with other team members as well as with parents about learners' progress and behaviour • Organize students into small groups for social education
• Encourage creativity in learners by organising art and craft projects on a daily basis
• Create a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere in the classroom
• Listen carefully to parents' requests and concerns and provide timely feedback.
Qualifications:
• Must be ECD qualified
• SACE registration will be an advantage
• Must be able to speak fluent English
• 2 - 3 years of teaching experience
• Must work well in a team, but also be self-sufficient and think on their feet
• A First Aid certificate
• Have great written and verbal communication skills
• Solid, contactable references
• Police Clearance Certificate
• Be dynamic, eager to lead and build capacity in the staff
• Be of good health and fit to move around
• Understand the importance of parental involvement in the education of children
• Be independent and self-driven team player with the ability to multi-task
Must be fun, calm, loving, patient, have lots of energy and most importantly have a big passion to work with young children.
