Career Day Celebration at Tiny Steps Daycare
Today we celebrated Career Day at Tiny Steps Daycare! Our children had a wonderful and exciting day learning about different careers and the important work that community helpers do every day. They learned about teachers, doctors, police officers, firefighters, farmers, and many other professionals who help make our community a better place.
Each child proudly wore a career outfit representing what they would like to be when they grow up. It was amazing to see their confidence, creativity, and excitement as they shared their future dreams with their friends and teachers.

Why is Career Day important for children?
Career Day helps children:
Learn about different jobs and careers.
Understand the importance of community helpers.
Develop confidence by talking about their interests and dreams.
Build imagination and future aspirations.
Learn respect and appreciation for the people who serve our communities.

Our children had the best time of their lives exploring the world of work through fun, learning, and dress-up activities. We are proud of each and every child for participating and showing enthusiasm throughout the day.

April is Autism Awareness Month 💙

At Tiny Steps Daycare, we are taking time to teach our children about autism and the importance of kindness, understanding, and inclusion. Every child is unique, and being different is what makes us special.
We encourage our little ones to be kind, to make friends with everyone, and to understand that some children may learn, play, or communicate differently—and that’s okay.
As educators and caregivers, we also want to raise awareness and advocate for autism. Advocacy means speaking up, showing support, and creating a world where every child feels seen, accepted, and loved.

This cause is very close to my heart as a parent of a child with autism. It reminds me daily that with love, patience, and understanding, every child can shine in their own beautiful way ✨
Let’s continue to build a caring and inclusive community for all our children 💙

Week 11 Theme: My Home 🏠

This week at Tiny Steps Daycare our theme is “My Home.” Today the children enjoyed a fun activity where they were coloring the finger family. This activity helps them learn about family members and the people who live in their homes, while also developing their coloring and fine motor skills. The kids had a wonderful time expressing their creativity. 🎨

🏠 Tiny Steps Daycare – Week 10: My Home

Today at Tiny Steps Daycare, we explored our Week 10 theme, “My Home.” The children enjoyed coloring pictures of houses while talking about their own homes and families.

This activity helped support:
🎨 Creativity through coloring
🖐️ Fine motor skills by holding and controlling crayons
💬 Language development as children described their homes
❤️ Social connection by sharing about their families

The children were excited to choose their favorite colors and proudly talk about who lives in their house. It was a wonderful way to help them feel connected and valued.

Today at Tiny Steps Daycare, we explored our Week 9 Theme: Shapes & Colors Around Us! 🎨🔺🟡
Our little learners had so much fun painting different shapes using bright colours they see in their everyday environment. Through art, they practiced creativity, recognition, and fine-motor skills while discovering circles, squares, triangles, and more!
Learning is always more exciting when tiny hands create big masterpieces 💛
