The Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) is currently participating in the District Dialogue event taking place in Kuruman, at the John Taolo Gaetsewe District Municipality in the Northern Cape Province. The Department is supporting its agency, the Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency (SEFDA), during this engagement.

The event aims to explore emerging developments and opportunities in Enterprise and Supplier Development, with a strong emphasis on aligning with the Business Development Services (BDS) Practitioners' Standards.

The primary objective of this engagement is to identify and promote new opportunities in enterprise development to better support medium, small, and micro enterprises (MSMEs) and cooperatives.

Additionally, the event seeks to advance supplier development initiatives and encourage sustainable business practices among SMMEs and cooperatives. It also highlights the critical importance of adhering to BDS Practitioners' Standards to ensure high-quality service delivery and effective support for these enterprises.
