Official Announcement:

The IsiMpondo Language Board™️ will be officially unveiled in the inaugural issue of the Funda Mpondo Literary Festival Magazine, launching at the 4th edition of the Funda Mpondo Literary Festival. This historic moment marks a bold step in preserving and celebrating IsiMpondo—a vital heritage language of the Mpondo people.

A vibrant IsiMpondo language, rooted in heritage, thriving in the present, and evolving for the future.

Mission
To safeguard, revitalize, and expand the use of IsiMpondo through:
- Documentation & Standardization – Preserving its structure and richness.
- Community-Based Transmission – Ensuring intergenerational knowledge sharing.
- Education & Resource Development– Integrating IsiMpondo into learning.
- Media & Public Promotion – Amplifying its presence in modern spaces.
- Research & Collaboration – Partnering with scholars and cultural institutions.

Meet Pumlile Nyobole, our visionary moderator – an educator at Clarkebury Agricultural High School, known as a pedagogical teacher. This dedicated Music graduate doesn't just teach music; she orchestrates social change through creative expression.

In her classroom, she conducts more than lessons – she curates confidence, composes courage, and harmonizes hope in every learner. Her pedagogy? A masterclass in turning artistic potential into purpose. Pumlile hails from Cofimvaba.

This September, she brings her revolutionary approach to arts education to the Funda Mpondo Literary Festival (3-4 September 2025).
