Leadership is not about a title. It is about character, service, and the courage to inspire others.
Yesterday, IBM College had the privilege of attending the Leadership Alliance Workshop at Diazville High School, where learner leaders from schools across the Diazville community came together to develop the skills and values needed to become ethical, compassionate leaders.
Our Lecturer and Academic Process Manager, Amber Lee April, shared her own inspiring journey of growing up in Saldanha, reminding learners that their circumstances do not define their future, and that with determination, education, and perseverance, incredible opportunities await them.
We were genuinely inspired by the confidence, passion, and maturity displayed by the learner leaders throughout the day. Their speeches, enthusiasm, and commitment to making a positive difference in their schools and communities gave all of us as educators renewed hope for the future.
A sincere thank you to everyone who made this impactful event possible, including JJS Business Solutions, Defurco Steel Processing, Diazville High School, and every individual who contributed their time, sponsorship, and support. Initiatives like these demonstrate how meaningful collaboration and community investment can empower the next generation of leaders.
At IBM College, we remain committed to supporting opportunities that uplift young people and strengthen our communities, because tomorrow’s leaders are being shaped today.
