Morning Devotion: Throughout the Bible we read stories of people who chose to praise God in difficult situations. God always brought them through those hard times and gave them victory. This is a powerful lesson and one you can begin to apply to your life today. If things in your life are not going as well as you would like, perhaps you are facing a stressful situation or dealing with fear, disappointment, or confusion, you may not feel like praising God. But you can choose to praise him. He is much bigger than any circumstance and you can praise him for who he is, for what he has done in the past, for never forsaking you and for working things for your good, whether you can see it right now or not.
Emotions are fickle. Don’t let them determine whether or not you praise God. Remember today that you do not have to speak according to how you feel. You may feel a certain way, but you can choose to speak God’s word in spite of it. That will bring you victory.
Father, I declare your praise will always be on my lips. Help me to choose to praise you in every situation, no matter what I am going through. In Jesus name, Amen 🙏🏾
