Sorry for the lack of group activity since late last year, we promise to be more productive and we will keep you up to date on what is happening at the centre.

We would like to leave you with a quote that we all found peace in: "You were given this Life because you are strong enough to live it".

For the year 2016 we would like to tell you all to keep living and enjoying life as no problem is ever permanent.

Here is a little background of the Organisation:

Ba’one Intellectual Disability Centre is a project that is owned and managed by three (3) retired female educators, and it is a non-profit organization. The co-founders are namely Kedi Mabutlwane, Kebuile Fredman(Seimelo) and Cynthia Ntwaeagae. The centre is based in Kuruman at Seoding Village in the Ga-Segonyana Municipality. The District is comprised of 166 rural villages. The need and concern in this region is that though the special school for children with disabilities exists at Mothibistad, and caters for the intellectual disabled learners from 7 – 18 years old, there is still a huge concern for 18 years and above who are compelled to exit when they reach this age. The labour market and other institutions currently do not absorb these youth for employment due to the nature of their disabilities.

The Centre therefore caters these intellectual disabled youth further with different vocational skills.
