ABUSE NO MORE PROTOCOL 2025

On Friday, 22 May 2026, the MEED Social Workers launched the Abuse No More Protocol - 2025.

This is a protocol that aims to manage child abuse, neglect, and related challenges.

The event brought together district officials and stakeholders from across sectors, united in protecting our learners. 💚

Child Protection is everybody’s business—let’s all do our part.

NATIONAL BOOK WEEK

National Book Week will be celebrated from 5–11 September 2025. To mark this important event and strengthen the culture of reading in our province, posters have been developed to advocate for National Book Week. Each poster contains engaging activities for every day of the week across all phases.

We kindly request that you distribute these posters to your staff, encouraging them to actively celebrate National Book Week. This initiative is closely aligned to the Western Cape Reading Strategy and supports the national priority of improving reading outcomes.
