**One Simple Filter I Wish I Had Used Earlier**

When I first started looking at online opportunities, everything sounded good.
Affiliate marketing. Freelancing. Dropshipping.
Content creation. Remote work.

Every video promised freedom.
Every website claimed to have the answer.

The problem?
I had no way to separate a genuine opportunity from a distraction.
So I started asking one simple question:

**"Will I learn a skill that I can still use 5 years from now?"**

That question immediately eliminated a lot of noise.
Because trends come and go, Platforms change.
Tools change, But skills stay with you.

For example:
Learning how to communicate.
Learning how to create content.
Learning how to solve problems.
Learning how marketing works.
Those skills can be used across many different opportunities.
Now, whenever I look at a new opportunity, I ask:

**Does this teach me a skill or is it just promising a shortcut?**

That one question has saved me a lot of time.
So here's my challenge for you:
Think about the last opportunity you looked at.
Did it help you build a skill..... or was it simply promising a result?

🌴 Type **START** if you're looking for legitimate ways to build skills and create more options for your future.

The 15-Minute Test I Wish I Knew Earlier
Before spending months learning a business idea, try this first.

Find 10 Facebook groups where your audience hangs out.
Look at:

Questions people ask
Problems they mention
Frustrations they repeat

Action: Spend 15 minutes doing this

What problem did you notice most often?

**Most People Start An Online Business Backwards**

At least I did.
When I first started exploring online business, my questions looked like this:

"What should I sell?"
"What platform should I use?"
"Which business model is best?"

But recently I learned something that made me stop and think.
Those aren't the first questions.
The first question is:

**"Can I find people who already have a problem and can I help solve it?"**

Because if nobody has the problem...
Nothing else matters.
Not the website.
Not the funnel.
Not the product.
Not the business model.

So here's a simple exercise I did:
Take a piece of paper and write down 3 problems people ask you about regularly.

At work.
Among friends.
In Facebook groups.
Anywhere.

Then ask yourself:
**Could I help someone solve one of these problems?**

That's it.
Just start there.

The more I learn, the more I realize that successful businesses are built around solving real problems for real people.
Everything else comes later.

I'm curious...

What is one problem people often ask you for help with?

**The First Thing I Learned About Affiliate Marketing Wasn't What I Expected**
When I decided to learn more about affiliate marketing, I assumed the first lesson would be about products.

What to promote.
How to promote it.
How commissions work.

Instead, I was introduced to a completely different idea.
Start with the person.
Not the product.

That sounds simple.
But think about it.
If someone is trying to lose weight, they don't want a meal plan.

They want more energy.
Better health.
More confidence.

If someone wants to start an online business, they don't want another course.

They want a clear path forward.
That was a lightbulb moment for me.
Because it changed the question I was asking.
Instead of:

*"What can I promote?"*
I started asking:
*"Who am I trying to help?"*
The more I learn, the more I realise that successful businesses don't start with products.

They start with people.
And understanding that one idea has changed the way I look at online business.

What's one lesson you've learned that seemed simple at first, but completely changed your perspective?

**I Found A Framework That Helped Me Understand Online Business**

Over the past few months, I've spent a lot of time learning about online business.

The challenge wasn't finding information. There was plenty of it
AI.
Content creation.
Social media.
Funnels.
Affiliate marketing.
Lead generation.

Every topic seemed important.
But I couldn't see how they connected.
Then I came across the Funnel Junkies framework.
And something clicked.
For the first time, I stopped looking at online business as a collection of separate tools and strategies.

I started seeing it as a system.
Content attracts attention.
Trust creates relationships.
Funnels guide people.
Businesses solve problems.

When those pieces work together, they create opportunities.
That may sound obvious.
But for me, it was a big shift.

Because understanding the system makes it much easier to understand why each piece matters.

I'm still learning.
I'm still implementing.
But I finally feel like I'm learning with a purpose instead of just collecting information.

Have you ever learned something that completely changed the way you looked at a subject?

While researching the different online business models, I noticed something interesting.
Most of them require you to create something before you can earn.
A product.
A service.
A course.
A website.
An inventory of stock.

Affiliate marketing was different.
It taught me a lesson I hadn't considered before:
You don't always need to create the solution.
Sometimes your job is to help people find the right solution.

That was a shift in thinking for me.
Because if someone already has a problem...
and a good solution already exists........... why wouldn't I learn how to connect the two?

The more I learn, the more I realize that the real skill isn't selling...
It's understanding people's problems well enough to help them find answers.

That's what attracted me to affiliate marketing
The opportunity to learn how businesses solve problems and how trust is built online.

I'm curious...

When you think about starting an online business, what's the biggest challenge holding you back right now?

09/06/2026

I've come to realise that waiting for clarity can keep us standing still for far too long.

We tell ourselves:
"When I know more..."
"When I'm ready..."
"When I'm certain..."

Then I'll start.

But what if clarity isn't something you find?
What if it's something you create?

For me, one simple decision changed everything.
The moment I chose a direction, my focus improved.
With focus came clarity.
With clarity came action.
And with action came progress.

Not perfect progress.
Real progress.

Sometimes the next step doesn't require more information.
It requires a decision.

What is one decision you know you need to make right now?

One thing I've learned recently is that online business becomes overwhelming when you try to learn everything at the same time.

I was jumping between:
β€’ AI tools
β€’ content creation
β€’ funnels
β€’ affiliate marketing
β€’ social media strategies

And honestly? I was making very little progress.

So, I made ONE decision - to dedicate time to learning AI.
Not because it's the latest trend. But because the more I learn about online business, the more I realize that AI is becoming a skill worth understanding.
There were so many tools, so many videos, and so many people claiming it could do everything. I didn't know where to start.

So instead of trying to learn everything, I made a simple decision:
Learn a little every day.
No pressure to become an expert.
No pressure to master every tool.
Just a commitment to keep learning.

Realizing that progress comes from focusing on the NEXT thing, not EVERYTHING.

For me, that means asking:
"What is the one skill or concept I need to understand right now?"

Then focusing on that before moving on.
It's a simple shift, but it has helped me feel far more intentional and far less overwhelmed.
I'm learning that clarity isn't about having all the answers.
It's about knowing what deserves your attention next.

What's one thing you're trying to learn right now which could help you in the future?
