Message of Condolences
Added on 11 August 2016

It is with a great sense of sadness that we inform you of the tragic passing away of our colleague the late Mr. Job Sebati who was employed as a General Assistant. Mr Sebati passed on after falling ill and succumbed to his illness whilst hospitalized in Limpopo. Each of us not only grieves at the passing of a tremendous individual but also for the loss his family suffers. Our hearts and prayers go out to them. There will be a short memorial service at Wendywood High School on 12 August 2016. Time and venue to be further communicated.

Mr Sebati will be laid to rest in Ga-Molepo in Limpopo on 14 August 2016 at 08h00. May his soul rest in peace

Dear Parent /Guardian

Please be advised that on Monday 15th August 2016, we will be checking learners at the gate from 07h00 until school begins at 07h45 with regard to the contravention of the school’s Code of Conduct.
It has become prevalent of late for learners to disregard the rules on:
a) Hairstyles ( Boys)- Hair should be neatly cut , back and sides should not be shorter than number 2. No mohawks, longer length on top or gel is allowed. Hair should be the natural colour.
b) Beards (Boys)- all boys are to be clean shaven with the exception of those who have been exempted due to religious reasons.
c) Hairstyles (Girls) – Hair if longer than collar length should be tied up. Hair accessories should either be: white, black or navy. Hair should be the natural colour. Braids should be black only.
d) Socks: Boys should be wearing grey socks only.
Girls should be wearing white anklets with grey skirts/ grey socks with grey pants.
e) Nails: short – no nail polish or gel or French manicures allowed.
f) Pants: should not be tailored to have the “skinny jeans” look.
g) Blazers: The sleeves should not be rolled up or folded at the cuff.
h) Piercings: Girls are allowed to wear small silver or gold studs or sleepers only. No other piercings are allowed, i.e., nose rings. Boys are not allowed to have piercings at all.
We enforce these rules to uphold the code of conduct of Wendywood High. We firmly believe that when learners are properly attired in their uniform, their work ethic in the classroom also improves.
It is our sincere hope that the learners of Wendywood High will wear their uniform with pride. Please assist us by ensuring that your child/ward complies with the above-mentioned rules. We will be turning learners away at the gate should they not comply after being warned. It is our hope that learners fix whatever is wrong so that we can all get on with the teaching and learning process. We look forward to your co-operation.

Thanking you

K Pillay
