Cottontails is a nursery school in Northcliff that I started from my home in 1982. At the time I was a stay-at-home mom and the nursing sister of our local, Windsor Park, clinic asked if I could look after some young children so their moms could work. The nursery school ran successfully for a few years so I decided to approached the head of Children’s Institutions of the Johannesburg Health Depar

tment to ask for her advice. My aim was to create the best nursery school in Northcliff by building bigger and better facilities, providing exceptional care and providing preschool education for local children. I decided to call my nursery school, Cottontails.

20 Years serving Northcliff
Twenty years on, Cottontails is now a fully-fledged nursery school servicing Northcliff, Windsor Park and surrounding areas. Our happy children learn through play and get equipped with the important skills they need to enter formal schooling. Many of our graduating children go on to school at Northcliff Primary School to build on the foundation they built at Cottontails Nursery School. Cottontails remains family-owned and run and we are proud to be the longest standing nursery school in Northcliff with one owner. At Cottontails the children and parents become part of our family. Although Cottontails has grown over the years, we remain close-knit with a firm focus on what is best for your child.
