HULL STREET THEATRE UNVEILS AN EXCITING SPRING-TO-FESTIVE SEASON AS IT CELEBRATES 130 YEARS OF THE PEOPLE'S THEATRE
Kimberley, Northern Cape – Hull Street Theatre is proud to announce its highly anticipated Spring to Festive Theatre Program, running from 3 September to 13 December 2026. This remarkable season celebrates 130 years of one of South Africa's most historic cultural landmarks—a theatre affectionately known as "The People's Theatre Where Wits University Started."
The season presents an exciting blend of drama, comedy, music, family entertainment, master classes, children's theatre and community productions, reaffirming Hull Street Theatre's commitment to developing audiences, nurturing talent and preserving South Africa's performing arts heritage.
"Our vision is to ensure that Hull Street Theatre remains a vibrant home for artists and audiences alike. This season reflects our commitment to celebrating local stories while creating opportunities for established and emerging artists to share the stage," said Thabo Motlhabi, Artistic Director of Hull Street Theatre.
